  1. Past hour
  2. Agreed At that point (at the pier) your insurance probably won't pay either.
  3. I agree. However, I've never seen it happen on the daily like this before.
  4. completely different and more stringent set of rules on a ship than on land
  5. I would toss the trip and use your travel insurance to mitigate the loss (assuming that you have CFAR/Cancel For Any Reason policy). Then you know for sure that you're not going (as opposed to getting to the port only to be told that you can't board the ship).
  6. Why does it take all day to clean it? It doesn’t take that long to clean a pool on land. They need to figure out a way to do it much faster.
  7. Odyssey February, the main pool was shut down during the day on 6 of 8 days. I honestly can't remember a week at sea in the last decade without a pool sanitation issue at least once during the week. Luckily, I don't use the pools onboard, but I spend a lot of time wandering and observing, and have seen a lot of empty pools being scrubbed.
  8. We have NEVER experienced a pool being closed on a ship for these reasons. Closures have only been overnight and during particularly rough seas.
  9. Happens on every ship I have ever been on, certainly not anything unique to Icon Sucks for you however, I am not downplaying that.
  10. In March the Top Tier Event (which we usually skip) on Wonder was in Studio B. If it's back in the AT in June/July I think we'll go back to skipping it... although it does give me an excuse to pop into Playmakers for one of the two drinks I really like there. Sounds like exactly what I would order.
  11. I pulled up the Google Street View and at the bottom it says the image was captured in Jan 2023...over a year ago. According to the Port Canaveral Cruise schedule, the only ship over in the Terminal A area will be the Disney Wish. There shouldn't be much traffic.
  12. Today was the Top Tier Event. We missed nearly all of it. I thought it started at 10:30 but it must have started at 10:00. By the time we got there they were introducing the top cruisers and it was nearly over....so I didn't get any intel on how many pax there were in the various C&A levels. I had heard earlier in the week that there are 36 Pinns but I didn't confirm that info today. It was hotter'n blazes out there anyway, so I'm not sorry that our trip to the AT was cut short. The Pinn luncheon started at 11:30 and we did manage to make it for that. The lunch was very good, as it almost always is. Shrimp cocktail, filet and carrot cake for both of us. Tonite is dinner at Hooked. Looking forward to some oysters. I hope they're better than the last ones we had there. Dan is at the Suites' Sun deck while I'm down here doing my daily computer stuff. Not much happening today since it's a sea day. Tomorrow is COZ (I think).
  13. Yes i seen that thread. I did call up there two days back and it came back to me saying that they don’t accept paper IDs, but then I see other threats saying that they accepted it and then had no issue so i’m kinda lost if i need to toss this trip up if my ID does not come in time
  14. Hands down Centerpiece is the best band period! First saw them in 2014. Since that year we have attempted to coordinate our cruises when they are on board. Ella, Maricel, Marlou, Erwin, Barry, and Ramon have incredible chemistry as a group. Since COVID the schedules for this band put them in the promenade more often. It appears royal has listened to feedback and we get to enjoy them 5 nights on our upcoming cruise. Can't wait to listen to your music!!!!! !
  15. I was more concerned about the new parking garage they are building there causing back ups into terminal 5 and 6. I know Royal and Carnival use those same terminals with traffic for Disney funneling in through the same area. Looking at the Google Street view is what got me a little worried. Lol. It does not look all to good. However... I will arrive early to avoid this and hopefully meet @smokeybandit for a cocktail at noon on embarkation day.
  16. Circling back to this... CruiseTimeTables.com seems to be updated more than Cruisemapper. They show you there with Wonder. https://www.cruisetimetables.com/cococaybahamasschedule-20may2024.html
  17. I am planning for my 50th birthday cruise which we have booked the Royal Loft on Oasis during the Jan 24th to Feb 1st, 2026 sailing. We have several friends traveling with us and I kinda would like to get a cabana while at CocoCay. I found that most cabanas will allow up to 8 people. However, I will have my 9-year-old daughter, and another couple will have a 9 yo and 5 yo. With my core group, we will have 8 people total. 5 adults and 3 children. While I am leaning towards a Coco Beach Club cabana or an overwater cabana, I just think the kids would have more fun (and maybe some of the adults) at thrill water park. However, I have been in a cabana there and they have a maximum capacity of 6. I know that in some cases, like the cabanas at South Beach, you can pay $100 for two extra people to bring the total to 10 people. I am wondering if this would hold true at Thrill Waterpark. While I am sure @Matt would say the food is totally worth it at the Coco Beach Club, and the adults will enjoy this area, I would at least like to see if we could squeeze in 8 people at the thrill waterpark. Has anyone had 8 people for a Thrill Waterpark cabana? If so, were there any issues?
  18. That can certainly be frustrating. Although, those open barstools at Lime & Coconut are calling my name
  19. Today
  20. Will this really leave from Baltimore, MD? Will we have to embark from Norfolk, VA?
  21. Icon Day 4 Main pool closed. So very tiered of this. What the hell did we pay all this money for! Fed up! Save your money and don't book Icon! Toddlers in diapers taking a dump in pools constantly. And Drunks puking all over the place. Half reports say this was poop, the other half say a drunk vomited. Stayed onboard to have ship to myself and empty pools. Now sorry I didn't go to St Maarten. Beyond angry. I'm ready for this trip to be over. Royal Caribbean Can Not Handle this many people. It's and endless joke. NEVER AGAIN!!! EVER!!!!
  22. We'll be in Icon next month and hope to see him too!
  23. Great to hear that, hope yall have a fun trip. We go on the Adventure on July 5th, cant wait. Did they offer a 10:30 check in time. I thought someone said they were doing away with that early one.
  24. 12 night sailings will typically have 3 Formal Nights. On Odyssey's 2023 Greek Isle Cruises the theme nights were White, Tropical, and 70s.
  25. Here is a previous thread in the topic. Seems like people have been more successful if the paper ID indicates it is state issued and has your picture on it. Obviously will need a certified birth certificate as well.
