Multiple (bordering on endless) Facebook posts week after week, that at least one pool on Icon has been closed every single day of every cruise. This is due to parents allowing children who are not potty trained to go in the pools. Apparently many times it's the main large pool. Once it happens it's closed for the entire day to clean. People please don't be selfish. If your child is not potty trained, stick to splash pads. It literally takes a pool for 7000 people out of commission for the entire day. Selfish and ridiculous.

TheoneandonlyMICAH started following 150 Central park wine pairing with dinner
-
Hello. I will be join the Royal Caribbean Blog group cruise in Oct 2025. While I know it is over a year away, I will be celebrating my 15th wedding anniversary on October 10th while on the cruise. We actually celebrated our first anniversary on Oasis in 2011. So I got to thinking, maybe take my wife to 150 Central park for dinner like we did for our first anniversary. In 2011, we dined there and enjoyed the 5 or 6 course meal with a wine pairing for each course. My question is, do they still offer a wine pairing with the meal, or do they have a standard wine menu? If they still have it, how much is it extra? In 2011 my wife and I went in thinking the price was gonna be one thing and ended up spending over $300 for the both of us. Let me know your thoughts.

Photographers on the ship are very similar to salesmen on a car lot. They are there if you want them to be or not.

Would agree on the "hand-me downs". But will take what ever we can get..... - Today

Just a side note, as someone who doesn't buy the pics, I still enjoyed taking a few candid ones around the ship when the photographers popped up- me and my kid playing mini golf, the family in the boarding terminal, hanging out at playmakers.... never even went to look at them before, but now you can look at the photos right after they are taken right in the app. So that was cool- I'd look at them on the app, then still not buy them- BUT it'll save you a lot of time down the line if you are buying them, you can check them out as they are taken instead of going at the end of the cruise and scrolling through them all.

Just curious if any beaches in Cozumel offer decent snorkeling opportunities or if one really needs to take a boat/excursion out to reef areas to see many fish or much sea life (assuming no reefs are close to shore). In our case, simply the opportunity to see some tropical fish in a not-too-distant-from shore area would be nice. We've enjoyed some nice near-shore snorkeling in Trunk Bay in St John, but was wondering if Cozumel had anything at all similar to offer. Thanks!

It's good to live in Florida? There's Oasis class ships everywhere with the possible exception of Lake Eola in downtown Orlando. -
Or have a bystander take a photo on an outdoor deck at sunset, and get a more realistic backdrop for 1/10 the price.

If you don't have the package, you can buy them for around $20 a photo.

I read up on that, and sports equipment is (are?) allowed. Darts aren't weapons. And, they're no longer than scissors. I asked RCI and was told they're allowed. But, they did point out security might hassle about them. I'm going to pack mine in checked bags for the Radiance.

Radiance of the Seas, May 10 2024 Southbound
beer12 replied to pastorgrimes's topic in Radiance of the Seas Roll Calls
So, I was wondering about bringing darts with me. The Radiance has a pub that has 2 dart boards. Sporting goods are allowed, and darts are not weapons. So, theoretically, they should be allowed. I asked RCI and they said that it's technically correct. But, it's hard to say what the clowns screening you on the way in would say. Anyone have any experience? -

Any objective, numeric measure can be misleading. So much of the feeling that a ship gives is subjective that no measure will be perfect. Regardless, a ship that has a low passenger to crew ratio and a high gross tonnage per passenger is likely to feel much more spacious and relaxing than one with the opposite metrics.

Hello We are booked for the 11 night wilderness frontier explorer cruisetour 4B in May with Royal Caribbean. When I log into my RC webpage the entire itinerary shows until I click anywhere else. Then it switches to 7 night cruise only. We have received lots of info from Royal Caribbean regarding the cruise portion but nothing on the pre land tour. I tried to call RC and ask if we would be receiving any confirmation from the land tour guides. They tell me it is not part of RC but an outside company. Are we expected to just show up at the hotel listed with no further confirmation? Any information from someone who has taken this trip would be appreciated. PLS

If you are talking about the 14 day transatlantic from Miami to Barcelona it looks like it is $824.99 per adult and $213.99 per child https://www.royalcaribbean.com/account/cruise-planner/category/pt_packages/product/Y7OE?bookingId=000000&shipCode=OA&sailDate=20240421

Integration of RC Loyalty Programs
Rackham replied to Dennis Blazey's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I haven't, but that's an excellent prediction. Making the program change announcement during those sailings would allow both companies to directly engage with, at least part of, the crowd who'd blast them on social media with questions (and possible doom posting). Then, the socials can be flooded with information about the overhaul without Royal needing to do too much marketing about the changes. It's win-win for the RCG if that's the plan. -
