  1. Past hour
  2. Amazon has several passport holders at very reasonable prices. I have one that I bought right after COVID which holds my passport on one side and my COVID record card on the other! I’m now thinking of upgrading to a different type…like a folio type which will hold paperwork as well! Right now with the one I have I just fold up my printed boarding pass and keep it in my current holder.
  3. We live close to the Magic Kingdom and LOVE Homecomin! If you ever make it onto a ship with Mason Jar I think you'd really enjoy it. Very similar vibe and food (although we've only had brunch at MJ and dinner at Homecomin).
  4. The AC part sounds awful... otherwise I think I'd like them since I'm also one of those "we don't use our balcony even if we have one" people (which is why we book interiors and use the savings elsewhere).
  5. Hello! Does anyone know how to get in touch with the entertainment department? I have written a song text for Star of the seas I wanted to send them. We are also releasing a song may 31st I wanted to send them for consideration. (I tried [email protected] but that was a non-working email..) thanks
  6. I love the idea of these, and would probably like it EXCEPT the whole AC thing- that would annoy me enough that I'd probably never open it during the day and just sit out there at night
  7. Ah that is a shame - drinks with moonshine always remind me of being in Disney World and trying the moonshine cocktails at Homecomin' - if anyone is local, I can thoroughly recommend the Blue Hooch! With Epic Universe opening next year, a trip back to Florida is definitely on the cards in a couple of years - if Jamie enjoys cruising I'm going to suggest a week at Universal and then a 7 night cruise. I'm about to start printing things - going to start with the luggage tags and our Sagrada Familia tickets. I usually hate having a tonne of paperwork and everything else is on my phone, although I want to get a new passport cover from Amazon so may get a document wallet and print everything else too.
  8. Today
  9. We really liked the infinite balcony on Icon because when we get a balcony we don't particularly like sitting outside anyway, we just like the breeze coming into the room. So we kind of preferred the room feeling a bit better. But if you enjoy a balcony I can see how some people wouldn't like it. It's pretty much a window rather than a balcony haha.
  10. Sorry you got a bad one even though I know you are/were full. That’s exactly why my wife only eats filet or hamburgers, nothing in between. There can’t be any fat for her. I have very little to compare it to (just Harmony) but we felt the same way. Sounds like a great start (minus a fatty filet).
  11. Yes..the shakes are included in the Refreshment and Deluxe drink package.
  12. Thank you. It went down to $168 today gratuities included so that makes it a no-brainer. Thank you for your help. I think there are plenty of specialty places onboard for 4 days so this is great. Never been to Playmakers so that will make it even more fun. Thank you again.
  13. Kids 1000% shouldn't be allowed to lay turds at the Swim and Tonic.
  14. Typically, Trans A /P cruises are less than capacity but heavy on top tier cruisers.
  15. Ugh. Never mind. I forgot we have an AT show at 10:45. I’ll never make it…
  16. Just got back from dinner at the CK. The apps were really good. I had the smoky tomato soup and pork belly. Dan got a Caesar salad with a lobster tail on top. He said his filet was good but mine was only ok. I had a gristly end piece and that ruins the entire piece of meat for me. But I was so full from the apps that I didn’t care about the filet anyway. We shared a peanut butter crispy bar and a piece of cheesecake. I am now miserably full. We went up to the SL for a drink around 5:00 and I have to say - I am impressed (in a good way) with the SL/CK on Wonder. The view is so different from the othe O class ships. We really enjoyed sitting there and having a drink. That’s not something that we normally do (HH at the SL). After that we strolled down Central Park and recounted how our previous cruise on Wonder had been so different from this one. On our last Wonder cruise we were in a CP balcony and did not have access to the SL so never went there. I must say, when you can enjoy the SL/ CK it is a completely different experience. We then went to deck 4 and popped into the smoke-free casino where we both came away winners on the Dancing Drums. Then, back up to the CK for dinner and now back to the room. I had intended to go back to the casino but now I’m full, sleepy and tired so maybe an early night ?
  17. Your bags have to fit through the Xray machine exactly like TSA so unless they are carry on size just check them.
  18. Azamara is in the same luxury class as Oceania. Much more affordable but still very upscale. Silversea, Regent, & Seabourn (amongst others) are considered ultra-luxury and their prices show it. I’ll probably never see Silversea.
  19. First congrats, Adventure is an awesome ship. We sailed her a few summers ago. LOVE that class of ship. Second you can roll on your luggage, it just might be a pain with 4 bags. Have a great time and you don't have to stick exactly to that time you have booked if you want to board a bit early. Rooms will be ready by 1PM. Sometimes its earlier but still close to 1PM.
  20. We have missed our MDR fixed time and gone to the MTD podium later and got seated.
  21. I was told 4 hours minimum to clean a pool and refill. Lots of scrubbing with brush/stick mops. Lots of chemicals. I watched them clean the kid pool from up over in the Hideaway Pool. After cleaning it has to sit awhile. Long process. Royal needs to implement a 5 years and younger area. And not allow the little ones in every pool. It's not working at all. Don't get me started on the swim up bar. Kids allowed, why?
  22. Good to see others starting to post! Only a few months away. Yay!
  23. Maybe it's just a Baby Ruth candy bar?
  24. Yesterday
  25. I think first question to ask is it really issue with passengers or do lifeguards just not want to work? Maybe getting some "false positives?". In my local subdivision, the young lifeguards look for all sorts of reasons to shut pool down to not work as hard (lightening ridiculously far away, not enough staff, burnt feet, friends, etc.). Second, what's a realistic time to sanitize a pool? Waterparks can do it in about 1/2 an hour but I know Royal has higher standards. Even with that, I was under impression they could fully drain and refill pool fairly quickly, maybe not true anymore on newer ships? @Matt This would be an entertaining story at the very least.
  26. Ok, Update! It was 2 pools today. The kids pool and the swim and tonic bar pool. Why they even allow kids in a pool that's a bar is beyond me. Royal Caribbean needs to rethink age policies on pools on this ship. It's really getting ridiculous. Lots of paying customers are MAD!
  27. Travel insurance doesn’t always cover every scenario. “My dog is sick and we can’t cruise” is not covered by most insurance policies. Travel insurance is rarely something that covers everything. It depends. There are covered events that are typically well documented. Losing your job or an adult child is having a baby, or is graduating from the military, may not be covered events. When my child had a change in their military graduation I walked away from a cruise and got zero despite having an annual travel insurance policy. It was not a covered event. Just like refundable airfare there is an up charge for the flexibility that refundable fares offer. Rather than thinking of a refundable fare difference as an up charge, think of non-refundable fares as including a discount for committing, locking in, and having reduced flexibility.
