  2. For me…once you’ve been to a few of them…you feel as though you’ve seen them all! Almost always same or very similar questions. Just not entertaining enough to sit through.
  3. Any other Prime or above casino folks just order a drink from every roaming waiter that walks by to up the chances of actually receiving said drink and then ends up accidentally double fishing or is it just me?
  4. There were these two ladies a couple tables down from me who were alllllll about it. Everyone else scurried away.
  5. Interesting question. Traditionally L & M was featured in the main theater at night during the latter part of cruise. Seems like last 2 cruises I've been on they scheduled it for 2:30 pm in the theater. We usually attend but did not because.......2:30 pm is prime pool, solarium, or nap time. At least for us.
  6. I think that's all that's available on that ship unfortunately when WJ is closed. @WAAAYTOOO is also on Explorer now..maybe she knows of somewhere else? I'm trying to recall my Voyager class experiences but can't think of anything.
  7. Sailing after Covid I noticed the Love and Marriage is a hardly attended event now, when pre-Covid, at least on my summer sailings it used to be nearly a full house. Anyone else experience the same? The host for Wonder of the Seas in June 2023 also did a horrendous job hosting. There was just a lack of entertainment on their behalf and lack of encouragement to the participants. My wife has encouraged us to do it but the only reason I do not participate is because my answers and behavior would be so boring, and I wouldn't want to poop the party for those watching. I know it's a bit cruise nitpicking but this is a discussion forum after all. It's my favorite show on the ship. I'm guessing Royal Caribbean had a lot of new sailors since Covid or people just lost interest in the game.
  8. Oh trust me, you won't. Very few people participate or even know about it in advance.
  9. I agree overall. I've seen it stay available the longest. However, I had to bid minimum $170pp to get mine. What category are you in that the bid was only $30?
  10. Today
  11. It happens sometimes. Excursions are operated by 3rd parties, so sometimes events happen that are totally out of Royal’s control
  12. Is Windjammer the only place to find inclusive juices, flavoured water, lemonade and hot chocolate on Explorer of the Seas? What about when the Windjammer is closed? I’m onboard now, Café Promenade only has tea, coffee and ice water. Nothing inclusive on deck 11 at the pool or solarium when the Windjammer is closed? Have to go all the way to deck 5 for limited choice of tea, coffee or ice water?
  13. Dinner was very good. I had the garlicky shrimp and Dan had the seafood linguine. I was surprised that he chose the pasta dish as we had both eaten pasta for lunch at the B2B luncheon and Dan is not much of a pasta guy. But he did, and he said it was very good. I absolutely love their olive bread and you could tell that it had just come out of the oven. Oh, Lordy ! We both won a bit in the casino. We broke even on Dancing Drums and then played a bit of UTH and both cashed out ahead. I suppose my purple drawers we “red enough” to bring me a little luck ! Sea day tomorrow. We’re on our way to Puerto Plata, DR where we will be snorkeling with the sea lions and the sharks !
  14. Virginiae is fantastic! https://www.ristorantevirginiae.it/en/menu/
  15. @twangster….Have you sailed Silversea and if so, what do you think? Funny because last night was the 1st time I ever ventured on their website. And like @rjweber3 said…..STICKER SHOCK big time!!!
  16. We had a short one for the Wonder 3/31 sailing. Basic questions.
  17. Facebook could care less about fakes or even active frauds/scams. Only bots check, humans are rarely involved. Sad, but no humans will likely ever know any of these issues ever existed (doubt they would care if they did). Truly maddening at times.
  18. Literally every single time I call and go thru the 1800 number and go thru shore excursions, I get someone who I can barely understand. They ask for a callback number and cannot even repeat it back correctly. The two times I've actually gotten ahold of someone useful they told be different answers. One said they are automatically updated in the system. The other person said they did indeed cancel them and wanted confirmation to rebook them at full price.
  19. Anyone else have any issues with Shore excursions being cancelled or messed up?
  20. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has any insight on the best way to escalate an issue with a manger or someone. So long story short, our upcoming Alaskan Cruise had an itinerary change that cancelled one of our ports, moved a couple of our port days around, and moved the times at the ports around. That completely screwed up our shore excursions. They said the cancelled port shore excursion would get refunded, which it did. They said the changed shore excursions would get updated, which they didn't. Royal is saying they cancelled them but no refunded has appeared and our cruise planner still shows our original booking number, missing the exursions but with the amount booked. Calling them so far has proven useless. Wondering if anyone has had something similar happened and any experience in how to resolve. Yes we booked with a travel agent, but they are claiming since we booked the shore excursions directly with Royal we would have to deal with them. Not using that TA anymore.
  21. Pre-covid white nights on Oasis class ships was always a popular event. I only can sail in the summer as I won't take my kids out of school for a vacation. So it could be participation was high during the summer months. I don't recall there being a white party post-covid on the sailings I been on. I wear all white in general in the summer so it's no biggie either way for me. Caribbean night doesn't make sense because it's a cruise..so generally people are going to wear Caribbean outfits on at least 2 of their sailing days.
  22. Yesterday
  23. OMG, I hate the dancing and singing. And it's always the macarena, where they insist on crowd participation and my service begins to suffer.
  24. I was over the bow and right under the captain's bridge on Mariner, it was very hard to take naps during the day. I believe it was room number 1821 or 1812. It was a view of the antenna and other hardware. But the sun from the floor-to-ceiling windows were breathtaking. I just found it odd at the time that it slept 4. Hopefully dinner is/was great tonight.
  25. I wonder if Star will still have them?
  26. you do not need a passport to get off the ship in coco cay, just your sea pass card. Nassau i would recommend taking your passport although its unlikely you will be asked for it.
