WAAAYTOOO
We normally do not eat lunch but we did today. Part of the hangover therapy. I have been on AD now for 11 days and I guess today was the first time we have eaten lunch b/c I never noticed before that they do the brunch combo on sea days. I’m not entirely sure whether this is routine or if they just did it today b/c it’s a holiday. At any rate, we ate breakfast in Giovanni’s and then brunch in the MDR. Dinner tonite is Izumi and unless some of the food digests between now and then, I am not going to be hungry at ALL. Might just be a miso soup night for me. Speaking of soup, they had baked potato soup in the MDR for brunch and it was yummy. After I had finished my cup I wished I had just ordered 2 cups of soup and not ordered the Royal Burger…but I didn’t want to complicate things for our server so I just ate my burger (or most of it, anyway). Still feeling a bit pekid but getting better. Tried to nap but the combination of a full belly and Coke/caffeine jitters totally prevented that from happening. Ugh. SweetPea
Did you happen to pack any of @asquared17's Charcoal pills? They'd be a life saver right about now! Neesa and asquared17

Jax
7 hours ago, WAAAYTOOO said: Happy New Year everyone !! I am in full recovery mode. It's been a REALLY long time since I got "big" for NY eve but I did it right last night....I guess. Don't recall much except that I somehow found my way back to our room, had $700 in cash (I don't have any recollection of winning...but I guess I did) and fell into bed with all of my jewelry on LOL. Dan had his first hand pay last night on video poker so we both came home with money. It is a bit of a NYE miracle. In all of the NYE hooplah, I managed to lose my Pinnacle plank. I found the magnet this morning but the plank was nowhere to be found. I guess I must have slept with it on, as the stateroom attendant found it and left it on the bed. UGH. Very grateful that it has been recovered. I am feeling pretty rough today. I do recall spilling champagne all over the Ultimate table. I'm sure I will be on the Casino's naughty list for next Christmas. It could always be worse. You could have got pictures taken that night and joined the “behavingbadly” list. Those would be a hoot to see! MaryS, SweetPea, PPPJJ-GCVAB and 2 others
Ampurp85
Was the soup the creamy baked potato with bacon or the smoky one with the chorizo and garlic chop? I loooooove the creamy one when they do brunch. SweetPea

I actually like that change. Out of my family of 4 my wife would be the only one using butter. So if we have 4 containers on the table 3 would be wasted every time we sit down. I try to avoid food waste wherever possible and if you can ask for as much butter as you want and get it quickly then I think that is a good thing. They aren't open, so to me if they aren't used they could just be put back and used later. If they were throwing away any butter that was left in that container untouched/unopened then that was just a bad practice in my mind. Oh, I sought you meant like a porcelain thing with butter in in it you get at some of the speciality restaurants. I didn't know that you meant one of those small plastic things for butter that you also get on airlines and other places.
LandstromCruise
yeah that's why i don't get it. totally agree if it was butter in a container that was opened and have to be thrown out, i would agree with the change. but these are just the little pre-wrapped individual butters that they then put into a container. there would be no reason to need to throw out any that were unopened. and then at that point leave them out. it also helps them thaw out by being left out. nothing i hate more than hard frozen butter WAAAYTOOO, SweetPea and PPPJJ-GCVAB
