EnTulsa
Does a genie need to be tipped in cash or can you put it on your tab to be paid on a credit card?
Ryan79
If you want to make sure the tip goes 100% into your genie’s hand, you put cash in that hand. EnTulsa
27th Lady
I agree. Cash is best. I have heard that the genies do not get a portion of the automatic gratuity so be sure to tip well as they work super hard EnTulsa
Jax
Either cash tips or you can charge to your onboard account. I have done both. If you choose to charge to your onboard account there is a form you will need to complete that can be found at guest services or through your genie. SweetPea
We tipped our Genie half cash/half charged to our onboard account. We just picked up the form from the concierge. If you charge any to your account, maybe you let your Genie know as I'm not 100% certain they will know who it comes from otherwise. Yes great suggestion, we mentioned the tip amount in the card we gave the genie. SweetPea and Lovetocruise2002

Word from crew members is that if you tip them through your onboard account, they don't know where it comes from. They know it's a tip but they cannot see on their end from which guest it is from. WAAAYTOOO
It never occurred to me to tip any way other than cash. Didn't even know you could.... teddy, SweetPea and Pattycruise
Bowen
We brought cash with us specifically for this purpose, handed it directly to him. WAAAYTOOO
Peter D
Star class question regarding Complimentary Gratuities: Δ Complimentary Gratuities benefit applies only to onboard staff who provide standard dining and culinary services, stateroom and general housekeeping services. Star guests may tip their Royal Genie and Concierge separately, at their own discretion. What overlap is there between the Royal Genie and the (Suite) Concierge? I thought Genie was the concierge for Star Class suites?
