Klo
I still have not received my daughter passport and we leave on Aug 13th. We had to send in the birth certificate when we applied for the passport so all we have is a notarized photocopy of her birth certificate. Does anybody know if this will be a problem? I called the royal carribean number and they couldn’t give me an answer
Pattycruise
The online check in lists approved documents. I don’t recall seeing “notarized photocopy of birth certificate”. see about getting another original birth certificate or reach out to your state representative for help on pushing your passport through. Al Miller
If you still live nearby the county where she was born, you can usually buy an official, raised seal copy of her birth certificate. Walk in, walk out. At least you can in Maryland. RCIfan1912
smokeybandit
You don't need a raised seal anymore. Just an official copy

Linda R
I think you can use a certified copy. Can obtain from county office where you were born.
svinot
Have you tried contacting one of your state representatives or congressman? They have aides who will help and they can put a congressional rush on it since you're traveling within two weeks. I had to do this with my two daughters passports back in May. CrznTxn
In Texas you can go to any county office and they can print a certified copy for you. My son had to do that when he was applying for a passport and he could not find it. Went to the county clerk and they printed him a certified copy even though he was born in a different county. Heymarco
We never got our supporting docs back and had to order a new birth certificate. This site is fairly quick. https://www.vitalchek.com/v/birth-certificates WAAAYTOOO
WAAAYTOOO
Received my renewed passport today ! YIPPEE !!! I sent it off in early June so it took slightly over 2 months. I had not asked for any kind of expediting. Ampurp85, sleepy425, Villageidiot and 6 others 8
