deep1
I will be asking a load of questions on this port . For now, where do we dock? Mahogany Bay or Town Center?

I'm so glad you asked this - I want to know all the answers about Roatan too! Following this post...
Firefly
Royal always docks at Town Center/Coxen Hole . (Mahogany Bay is exclusively Carnival and their other brands.) There is not much at Town Center - a few shops, a duty free store, leather shop, jewelry etc. Think typical port shops, just on a MUCH smaller scale than places like Cozumel and Costa Maya. This is definitely a port to pre plan an excursion unless you plan on just staying on the ship. Midwest Cruiser and deep1

If you are looking for some ideas, I use Ronys tours. His website has lots of ideas. There are plenty of independent companies that offer tours. Vancity Cruiser
We have been to Tabyanna beach club twice in Roatan. Amazing snorkeling right off the beach

FLTraveler
I had the time of my life holding a sloth on an excursion in Roatan. I would agree with everyone saying to arrange something in advance--it's overwhelming in terms of people mobbing you for business.

I'm a boat captain and have had enough of them last a life time. Getting poked is a whole new level of "ow!!!!!" as well. They are ok but not high on my list. I eat em as our guests get excited at the prospect of eating their own exotic catch. I like a good fresh bug now and then. Fiance' loves lobster of any species and this trip is for her... I've been to a couple but I don't remember the names. Shrimp is also very good in Roatan. KJ777 and deep1
