Qeytondude
We will get our first Prime free inside room in April of '23. Just wondering how much variety will be available to us. I'm hoping its more than the handful they offered in Jan. For example, any chance of getting a room on Icon ? Are the new ships off limits ? What has been your experience. Thanks in advance. LCWind
New ships off limits for 1 year. Which means you can’t book Icon but can book Wonder. Any cruise 7 days or less are eligible for your free annual cruise. Qeyton Dude
Ampurp85
When it comes to new ship almost not really applies, often some C&A discounts won't be applicable as well. As stated, anything but new ships. For 2022 I applied mine to an already booked sailing. Also it is a free interior where you pay taxes, grats and port fees but you can upgrade. I have known people to apply to suites as well. Qeyton Dude
AshleyDillo
Any up to 7 night sailing goes except for new ships (less than 1 year old) and holidays. You won't be able to use your prime tier cruise on Icon.
togo
So, if I have a 7 day already booked for say July, then when I get the free complimentary in April, I could apply it to the July booked? What about the deposit? I am guessing that wouldn't be returned.

Also remember it has to be before final payment, since most final payments are 90 days you probably won't be able to apply this offer to a July cruise. 2022 annual prime cruises started coming after April 20th. If you sail July 15th, final payment will be due between April 14-16.
Temeculaguy
My only complaint about prime is hardly a complaint. The free cruises are usually the older ships in less than desirable weather, but that makes sense to give away berths that are not in demand. Our usual minimum is GS so the best I can get is $500 off whatever cruise and suite we select in trade for our free cruise, a benefit i actually like. Quantum/Oasis class tends to be inside or ocean view if at all. If you get a balcony offer on a new ship in good weather, jump on it, that has not been my experience. I'm gong to gamble anyway, so I like that they are flexible even if I don't get a free owners suite on a new ship.

WAAAYTOOO
It’s true that some of the casino comp offers are for older ships and usually shorter itins…but I have found that it is often beneficial to book whatever crap room they offer you and then upgrade to a better cabin class/location. It’s best to know before you book whether or not there are upgradeable rooms available. We have never gotten “stuck” with a bad cabin category but it’s true that suites are often sold out on the casino comps. You just have to do your research and be flexible. Stacey123
Question - I have prime for the first time starting the 1st April 2023. However there are only a couple of European cruises we could go on, as we don't want to spend money and time going all the way to America for a 6night cruise. So the European cruises we found one sails the 8th of may and one the 16th of may. Now because I can't book anything until the 1st of April when my prime offer begins then theres the possibility these two dates might be booked up by then. What do i do. ? In the past I have booked cruises directly (not using casino comps) and then later converted them over to a comp cruise…but that is permissible using US booking rules and I don’t know whether Euro booking rules will allow it or not. I recommend calling the Club Royale number and asking if you can convert a “regular” booking to a casino comp without penalty. Ampurp85
I have already booked my annual prime cruise; I will just call and have the cert added to the booking. I did the same thing last year and really lucked up.

I was thinking of doing the same but when I called Club Royale they said that while we could apply our certificate (prime inside cabin comp) that since we booked a balcony for our Europe cruise this summer, the cruise would be repriced on the day we call to apply it. This makes sense - but since the cruise has significantly increased in price since we booked it, there won't be any real value in applying. I suppose this strategy works best if you are not upgrading the cabin type or amount of people beyond 2 passengers.
WAAAYTOOO
Yes, converting a booking to a casino comp will trigger a reprice.
Keanoknick
Once you receive your annual Prime cruise certificate, how long do you have to use it?

The certificate awarded in late April (usually) and are good for applicable sailings through 3-31 of the following year….so good for basically 1 year. Ampurp85
The free cruise must be booked and sailed by the end of the prime year. I am okay with a reprice because I won't be paying the full price. In my case I am using it on a Wonder sailing for Jan 2024, It is currently over 4k, so whatever the discount is, it will still be a decent price. Ampurp85
Since someone bumped this up I have another question. If someone earns prime in Oct of the prime year, will they still get an annual free cruise? Like if someone gest 2500pt on a sailing, will they get the cruise for that and earn the free annual prime cruise? TIA

If they earn Prime all in 1 cruise, they will receive an instant comp cruise but it won’t be an annual tier comp. Ampurp85

Are you saying that if we reach the 2,500 on a single sail, say in November on our 13 nighter, it triggers an any ship (other than new and holiday) certificate, plus we still receive the annual the end of March ? BTW: really appreciate all the feed back everyone has provided to my original post. This community Matt has formed ROCKS

Each month Royal has instant certificate offers available depending on your play for that cruise. The free cruises begin at varying points values depending on what the offer is that month. Instant certificates are limited to the list of select cruises for that specific offer (based on the points you earned) so you have to want one of the sailings from the list AND there still has to be casino rooms available on that sailing. This is an example of what the instant certificates offer matrix looks like. To get the bonus column offer on the right you have to book your free cruise you earned by using a NextCruise certificate that you purchased onboard during the sailing you earned the certificate. Yes, you can book for 2, you both pay port fees and taxes as well as gratuities. if you hit prime level there’s a good chance you will have other free cruise offers in your Club Royale account. check www.club Royale offers.com
