Reverend
I have my first cruise coming up and I've heard rumors that there are no straws onboard, or at least no disposable plastic straws. So what is provided? Are they the paper straws that fall apart or something else? Checking to see if I need to bring my own reusable straw. D Alt
paper straws. bring your own because for drinks the paper ones disintegrate easily. I have a sustainable one I bring. Neesa and WAYNO
Ampurp85
Some ships have the new paper straws that don't disintegrate as fast. The old paper straws sucked, no pun intended, because they got weak if you don't drink fast enough. I bring my own most times, the most important thing is to not forget it or get it stolen. loki007
the crappy paper straws have been replaced by a fairly decent marine safe biodegradable straw. We also usually take some stainless steel straws with us. KristiZ and WesKinetic

They feel like plastic, but are not. https://www.strawfish.co/ Pooch and rjac 1

Mariner also had these straws when we sailed last week. Thank god the era of crappy paper straws was fairly short-lived. loki007
CrimsonCruiser
Odyssey had paper (or the like) straws in the bars and they actually held up really well. I got a beverage at a karaoke event, then decided to sign up to sing, was too nervous to drink and forgot to remove the straw the whole time....about 20 minutes later I finally took a sip and the straw was completely intact.
