Tret
Has anyone who checked in using the mobile app had there progress stuck in “validating your vaccination record” for days? RCIfan1912

RCIfan1912
Excellent thread because I was wondering if you can upload your vaccination status. Our check in doesn't open till June. So I suppose you have to upload and bring the physical copy?
Larry Muster
You upload an image and it goes though some validation process. The app tells (me at least) that it's "validating my record". it stayed like that for 3 weeks for me and just went to the green check (29ish days ahead of sailing). Very interesting, thanks for the info. I guess we'll try and upload our cards. I assume you still have to bring your physical copy too on the cruise, to the terminal, and of course port stops? Larry Muster
Sorry yes. Physical card at check in. I've never had to use it at a port, but I rarely disembark at ports of call.
Carotthat
Is there an average waiting time till the vaccination infos are validated or is it individually depending?
Psycho and Barb
It's all depends on Royals IT...We have had some validated within 24 hours and some that took weeks. Not sure why they have us uploading it anyways...Have to produce it at the port and they take a picture of it. Carotthat
anxiouscruiser
Ours took less than 6 hours but we checked in and uploaded within 5 days of embarkation haha.
bbowers
Mine got validated, but my wife and 2 daughters are still waiting. It has been 20 days since I uploaded them.
OCSC Mike
We checked-in 45 days out, vax cards were validated about 15 days later. It seems to vary greatly so I wouldn't be at all concerned unless it was close to your cruise (and even then you can/have to just show it at the pier anyway). Chmusar
Mine took 2 weeks my wife's 2 days , in January both where done at same time in 48hours . But as previously said you can do it at cruise terminal with hard copies.
Done
I wonder if a real person or persons has to physically look at each Vaccine card photo? Both of our status are the same - validating. I am not going to sweat it. We'll have the proof of vaccine cards with us at boarding. RCIfan1912
RCIfan1912
Mine finally went to validated last week, whole family. Now I have to take a pic and enter it again for a cruise 19 days after this one when it should just carry over. I don't get that. The vaccine cards and dates aren't going to change, and certainly not between cruises that close together. Done
TXCruiser
Ours took a little over 2 weeks to switch to "validated". FWIW, other members mentioned that the status didn't matter and only the actual check in at the terminal mattered with regard to confirming your vaccination status. I assume then that this is a "pre-check" to ferret out any potential issues in lieu of waiting to arrive at the terminal only to discover that you don't meet the reqs. It gives you the choice to upload a stored photo or activate a camera.

Paid4c4
On our March cruise it took almost three weeks for the app to show as validated. I just submitted our vac record for our August cruise so the clock is ticking down again. So if it takes two or three weeks I'd say that maybe normal. WAYNO
Ours also said validating for weeks. Then one day it was shown as validated. Bottom line... we take the paper record to the dock anyway. RCIfan1912
