Jill Posted February 26, 2021 Report Posted February 26, 2021 Sure would be nice if a “workaround” can be found concerning PVSA https://www.travelweekly.com/Cruise-Travel/Congress-proposes-a-solution-to-Canadas-big-ship-cruise-ban?fbclid=IwAR2T2Lo5Mv0_wouB-UbkNzVcTPZZQsJQ7GtzPDGPcU2JygdVVkcn4Ooez14 Sharla 1 Quote

Its up to the USG - no need to stop at Canadian ports if the law is changed. Fine if its only temporary and regionally limited, but best to look at a better solution long term. Would be bad to shudder all those Alaskan resorts and other businesses for another season. Can see the bear lounging on the deck of the Princess resort. Jill 1 Quote

TXcruzer Posted February 26, 2021 Report Posted February 26, 2021 Even if a PVSA “workaround” were accomplished, there is still a CBP issue with all the foreign born crew unable to attain the appropriate Visas for a 100% American itinerary. Quote

cruisellama Posted March 1, 2021 Report Posted March 1, 2021 The Alaskan resorts will be opening this summer (Princess lodges etc). So land tours are possible. You can fly to Anchorage or Fairbanks and catch rail or bus. Would expect it be be a good year for wildlife sightings as people have been absent for a year and they've probably moved in. Quote
