Tmsmith
We are cruising on Freedom in Nov 2019 and this is our first cruise as diamond. We won a Royal UP bid and now we are in a grand suite. We want to make the most of our trip so which lounge is better, diamond or concierge? tonyfsu21
IMHO, the suite lounge is better (especially on Oasis Class). I’ve always found it to be less crowded. KristiZ
mark.s
concierge lounge by far. the drinks ( beer, wine, soda) run 11-11. The coastal kitchen is a great smaller dining venue option. We ate there for most meals. We were on Harmony and the diamond lounge had no windows and it was very crowded. It was on deck 3 or 4 and felt like the basement. we went there one time just to check it out. Drinks were limited to a smaller time window. CGTLH
Talking about Freedom, pre AMP... View wise the more favorable one will be the Diamond Lounge. This lounge was part of the Viking Crown, so one side is nothing but windows. Not knowing the number of Diamonds and above will be the factor for crowding. However, the crowds can overflow to the bar/lounge just outside the Diamond Lounge. Now the Concierge Lounge might be more convenient location wise. However, the Concierge Lounge has no outside views. Other factor would be the number Diamond Plus and above that might opt to use the Concierge Lounge. Service wise, might be best to give both a shot and judge yourself. Bob_KY and HeWhoWaits
WannaCruise
Is concierge lounge based on c&a status? Or by room booked?

Currently, the Concierge lounge welcomes Suite, Pinnacles and Diamond Plus. Once they switch over to a Suites Lounge, it’s only Suites and Pinnacles. Concierge Lounge was never crowded, so if just looking for pre-dinner drinks or grab and go breakfast it was a good option. If looking for a view, stick with Diamond Lounge. twangster
During Diamond Happy Hour the DL will likely be very busy whereas the CL will probably be less busy. Both offer the same drink menu so in terms of amenities they are identical with no clear winner. It is very common during happy hour for the DL to overflow into all or part of the Viking Crown Lounge so between the actual DL and the potential overflow into the VCL, there are much better views to the sea compared to the CL which is purely an interior room with not even a porthole to the outside. Once Freedom is AMPED this will all change but since OP is asking about a pre-AMP sailing there is no Suite Lounge. Just now, marti314 said: Ill be darned, had no idea. It's not terrible but being an interior room without a single window it's just not as pleasant. WAAAYTOOO
