Welcome aboard! I dove and snorkeled in Cozumel a few years ago. Great viz and marine life. I pointed out a small lion fish to the dive master and she speared it with her spear gun. As she was clipping off the dorsal spines a very large grouper swam up and snatched the lion fish right off the spear! Happened so fast I couldn't get my camera up and focused in time. As we swam way, the grouper tagged along with the dive master like a small dog waiting for another hand out. Be prepared for some mild/strongcurrents. Be sure to check your gear if one of the dive shop folks sets it up for you.

thanks for the info!...Believe you me, I get my moneys worth out of a drink package..usually the first day drinks I enjoy equal the cost of the 4 day drink package so the next 3 days are "free" for me...lol

I always did the higher end package on Royal so prob will this time...but as I am not familiar with the drink prices on Celebrity and the middle package only covers up to $9 I really will have to take a hard look at it.
For wine its usually just a glass or two at dinner...beer is usually the first drink or two of the day..then its all mixed drinks for the rest of the day. I do enjoy Baileys in my coffee in the morning and often on the rocks when playing at the casino but seems they consider Baileys to be part of the premium package on Celebrity?!(See, right there I am at 8-10 drinks and that's before the night even starts...lol)

"Rats, I really wish I went with the more limiting drink package" said no one ever.  Go large!
In seriousness, from what I've been reading elsewhere online, it sounds like the deciding factor should be how big you are on wine, martinis and top-shelf liquor.  If you're not a wine drinker or not likely to venture beyond the house wine, prefer simple well to call cocktails and aren't going for the craft martini bar, you can save a few dollars and stick with the Classic package.  You can still order a couple of drinks that cost more than $9.  It looks like they just charge you the difference and not the full price. (so a $13 cocktail would cost you $4).

You can choose from a drink package, wifi, prepaid tips and $150 OBC.

Try calling, either directly or via your travel agent.  It's possible they aren't doing it that sailing or it sold out, but I'm willing to bet it's just hiding in the system.  I think Royal Caribbean bought their IT systems from the Willy Wonka factory.  I've called and asked about excursions and activities before and they've magically appeared in the cruise planner moments later.  I suspect an Oompa Loompa fell asleep and my call woke them up.

Just booked a Celebrity trip on the Infinity for my birthday . . . in Feb 2019.  Went with a Concierge Class balcony, Aqua was ~$200 more and while Blu sounds appealing, I don't think we'd use much of the spa amenities.  This will be my first trip on Celebrity, so I'm excited!
Also, there's a promotion going on where you can pick 2 perks for the first two people in a cabin.  Choices were gratuity included, wifi, drink package and some others.  Went w/ drink package & wifi.

You can, but everything I've read here indicates that they'll be of limited use due onboard to the interference all that metal on the ship causes.
You can still bring your cell phones and talk via text messaging. Just confirm your carrier allows texting while outside the US (roaming) and what their rates are. Many allow free incoming texts and only charge for outgoing; rate is something like $0.50.
If everyone in your family / group has a smartphone and you were planning to all use an internet package, another option is to use the various chat apps that are available -- Messages if everyone is using iPhones or iPod Touches; Snapchat messaging, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc. for Android or mixed Android/iOS chat. The latter is the approach my family will be taking for our cruise on Freedom next March.

Important note -- If you do bring your smartphones onboard, make sure they're put in Airplane Mode as soon as you board, then just turn wifi back on to connect to VOOM if you're using that. Without airplane mode enabled, your phones will fall back on cellular data if they lose their VOOM connection, and then you'll be paying a ton for data roaming.

According to CruiseDeckPlans.com's info on Majesty of the Seas, the closest you'll get to a regular balcony is a Junior Suite. There are apparently 50 of those, and they are not at all comparable in price to your inside room.
I did a mock booking for a Dec 10 4-night Bahamas itinerary (lowest price of all dates), and for your first room with two adults and one kid under 12, I'm seeing $535 per person for a JS, total price $1,605 after port taxes and fees. With one adult and one kid (second room), it's $803 per person for the JS, and still a total cost of $1605 after port taxes and fees. I'd expect the room with 3 to cost more, but Royal's site is final-pricing both exactly the same. Maybe because all prices are always based on double-occupancy, and with the Kids Sail Free promo you have "only two" in the first room, and a "solo traveler" in the second who's getting hit with the "solo traveler" surcharge?
Anyway, if you want a balcony room, this is the closest and "cheapest" you'll get. At least it nets you double C&A points!

I believe it shows up under "Entertainment & Activities," it's not lumped in with the shore excursions.  I thought it was really interesting and worthwhile, but I too am a nerd.  It was really neat to see how much effort it really takes to run a cruise ship and get a peak at the crew areas.  I wouldn't do it on every ship, but it's totally worth it to go at least once.

We would "test" her throughout the trip.  About 75/25 she would remember.  She was always accompanied by someone she is familiar with the entire time.  Only time we were worried is if she wandered off while everyone was sleeping.  It never happened.  She was exhausted after all the fun activities on the ship!  She had a great time.  She would always talk about the cruise even years afterwards.

All the beaches here along the Space coast have been hit hard by all the hurricane activity this year.  The sand loss is huge, and none of the beaches are what they usually are.

I'm not familiar with a beach within a reasonable walking distance.
You can always use Uber/Lyft to get you to any beach you like.  Same difference as RC's shuttle.

The combo deal just appeared in mine when I looked, $65 /day for me!  Drink package dropped to $45 / day.  I had already booked ultimate dining for about $24/day, so I cxled that and booked the combo.  I'm netting a $14 / day savings (times two people, times seven days = almost 200 bucks!)
    Hooray!

No deals for me (March/April Eastern Caribbean). But if folks on February cruises are seeing some deals, gives me hope that next month (maybe Thanksgiving weekend?), my ship will finally come in.

    See what I did there?

Oh, I don't doubt there are blogs calling the ship shabby.  You'll always find blogs written by people with an axe to grind who will be negative about everything *cough*cruisecritic*cough.
Take exceptionally negative reviews with a big grain of salt, and try to read between the lines.  Can't please everybody, and sometimes people have legitimately bad experiences that the line could've handled better.  But sometimes they just had a bad day that was no fault of the cruise line and it colored their whole experience, and sometimes they're just miserable people who are impossible to please.

I haven't been on Majesty yet, but based on what I've read and what I remember from her sister ship the Monarch, there's no real difference.  It's one big two-story dining hall spanning Decks 3 and 4.  You enter on whichever deck you're assigned to.  Not sure if they break it up by time or just put you wherever your party size happens to fit when tables are assigned.  Menus and everything else are the same.  I think the chairs are different colors, but that's about it for differences.

Wow.  Maybe some bad publicity and shame might change their mind, but I wouldn't hold my breath.  I would definitely post on Twitter and other social media about this.  That occasionally gets results.
This is a really tone-deaf bean counter decision.

You can always park at the port.  It cost more but you're right there.  I'd call park-n-cruise, they might have something going by now.  Their site doesn't say anything about not being open.
