Agree with the Top Tier ice show, seemed the skaters just turned up in their training gear, and the queues were massive, although once in there it didn’t seem full. We also overheard many others moaning in relation to the downturn in RC compared to previous cruises. 
‘Overall we enjoyed the cruise, it’s just that each cruise before has been almost perfect, and this time around this problems I’ve already listed soured our experience, personally I’m hopeing that an Oasis style ships comes to Southampton in 2020, something that I heard onboard but have yet to hear for definite it’s happening.

One of these is from Harmony, the other Serenade.  Harmony was 2017 but Serenade was 2018.  I don't recall which is which is which. 
Both state WN (Southwest) is 11:30am to 6pm.  Other airlines allow later flight times.  Southwest I've heard has a small storage area at FLL so they can't hold bags longer.  Plus Southwest when I have flown them is a stickler for the 4 hour rule not allowing bags to be checked before 4 hours prior to flight time. 
Note you have to do this several days before the end of the cruise.  On Serenade I had to ask for the form.  When I saw another guest carry one into an elevator I realized my cabin attendant didn't deliver one to my cabin. 
They not only checked my bags but also printed my boarding passes.  I'm elite with Delta so I get free checked bags.  This was respected and I was never charged.  This is why it has to be done several days prior - so they can validate any fees and flight times with each airline.  Even though you are on WN they have to verify flight times and the airline has to 'accept' your bags against your flight reservation days prior so it's not just about the fees or lack of.

Going with a less stressful Plan B. 
Got a great rate of $119 at the Embassy Suites for a post cruise overnight stay. We can take our time getting off the ship, drop our luggage at Embassy, relax at the pool and/or spend the day enjoying San Juan. 
They switched our flights to 10:22 the following morning at no charge. 
Problem solved. 

On Adventure early May, they missed my welcome aboard beverage but did have four bottles of water and some cookies.  Petit fours a few days into the cruise.  C&A beach towel gift for D+.  Other D+ reported getting their bottle of wine so I think mine was just overlooked.

225 days til my next cruise (Allure).  Our first as Diamond.  But you all are providing motivation to book HOTS.

Is the ship the destination or are the ports the destination?  Which is more important?
I get the feeling the ship is holding you back from choosing the Greek cruise.  As you have noted the smaller ship is required to get into some of those ports. 
Last year I sailed on Allure in May then my next ship was Grandeur.  Mega to small.  I loved Grandeur.  It's a wonderful ship.  It's only considered a small ship by Royal Caribbean standards.  By the measure used by all other cruises lines, having ~2,000 guests is not a small ship. 
The Greek Islands are on my bucket list and I'd have no hesitation sailing Vision class ships so I know what I'd do, but this is your vacation.  Follow your gut. 
 

for me i would do the med trip, simply down to the fact its somewhere i havent been and its hotter.  

@Lindsay.  What a great question.  I too have always bought the case of water AND the coffee card.  Oh well.  A few months back, @DocLC informed me about tips and drink packages.  I always gave "base" tips because I thought it wasn't included  in the package fees (still give extra tip $ for exceptional service).   Again, this blog site is fantastic because of contributors.
