Cruising With JT

You guys...I am so sad reading this thread, you have no idea.  FOMO is real. ?
Someone else will have to blog this summer.  I am headed to the mountains.  We won't be vaccinated in time.  Hubby is getting his tomorrow but most of Canada is spacing the shots out 4 months apart.  I might be May at the earliest so summer cruising is a no go.  

BOOKED! Flying from the UK, booked on the 21st August 2021. Would have like to have been on a sooner cruise but dont think we would have been fully vaccinated in time.

Because @Lovetocruise2002 is stuck in Canada and isn't going. 
Otherwise she would have started one a month ago before Royal announced it.

has some good rates, not on Paradise Island but reasonable

 

My amazing Travel Agent, Michelle at MEI had me booked by 7:00 a.m. Texas time for June 19 sailing. I got air DFW non stop to Nassau $400 round trip. We chose to go a day early and booked the Marriott Courtyard and they allowed a 1 night booking. 
 
Cheers to Michelle for going the extra mile to make this one happen, but then again, that’s her style when working with you on any travel plans.

Just heard on CNBC that the CDC is basically ignoring any communication and guidance from CLIA and the Mayor of Miami recently and not changing their stance on the Conditional sail order. Instead of having cruises lifted by July under certain conditions, the CDC (aka Can't Do Cruising / Can't Do Crap) has stated they will not change or lift any restrictions until November 1st of this year. Bunch of BS if you ask me.
I think it's time to seriously start considering cruises departing not from a US port. The CDC is not on the cruise line side and it's so blatantly obvious. They allow all other travel modes but not cruising even though it is the safest w/protocols etc.
Cruise stocks took a big hit intraday including RCL.
I hate the CDC ?

Back in 2019 my family and I wanted to go to the Mexican Riviera, but I knew Royal didn't sail here...bummed out, I looked at my other options. Norwegian Star..nah, smaller ship... oh how about Princess? Never been on Princess so...booked on the Royal Princess. Had a great time, mostly because it had the word "Royal" in it ?
