Just got off Icon. (4/27) I didn't go in any pools for this reason, and we have a great/clean pool of our own!

Oh trust me, you won't. Very few people participate or even know about it in advance.
^^^ TRUTH ^^^. We got off ship 2 days ago. Never noticed a "white night".
There was one large group of folks (25ish) who where all dressed in white for a photo op at the Pearl.

When I hit the enter button checking in online, I found myself somehow transported to the deck of the ICON!
Scared the heck outta me! I quickly hit the back button and was relieved to be back home in my easy chair.
My sailing wasn't for another two weeks! YMMV
Then again, it could have been a dream.

We don't drink enough to justify a drink pkg either.
We're just gonna live a little and buy our 2-3 drinks ala carte. After all... We're on vacation!

What's the price say in the picture? My old eyes are having trouble reading it and it gets blurry when I zoom in.
Thanks, I couldn't read it either.

Thanks! I just don't want to be that one guy dressed in blue shorts, orange shirt and green/purple hat on white night!

Is there a "white night" on Icon? I looked at the cruise compass and did a cursory search here, but I didn't find an answer. I did see that "dress your best is days are 2 & 6 and "Caribbean" is day 4. TIA.

First of many...
One thing is certain from reading here for the past year, I'm fully aware of any pitfalls and know how to avoid most of them now.
For that, I thank thee and all the other contributors here.

Rough looking cabin. Sorry you had to tolerate it.

Hotdogs? I grew up in Coney Island so naturally Nathans was #1 in my heart, but Rutt's Hut in Clifton NJ deserves a shout out! https://www.ruttshut.com

I used to do this religiously. May skip a night here or there depending on plans but I still like to pop in just to see what the WJ has each night. Never know when you might find something different or interesting to try. I'm also rarely full from the MDR as I find the portions small (yes, I could order more) but it's fine.
I hadn't considered this. Brilliant!

Check in day was yesterday. No glitches except we were given a 1pm boarding time and we have restaurant reservations (Hooked) at noon.
So we're gonna show up early and see what happens. A lot of what I've read indicates they'll let us on. Ya think?

Thank you. I do want her to be comfortable. We just both cringe at being able to "walk" into the room and hope no one is missing a sailing because of us.
Thank you for those unselfish thoughts. Refreshing!

When we know we'll be dining in the MDR in the evenings we try to deal with table preference the first night of the cruise. If you don't like where you're seated, kindly talk with the maitre d' later (ideally when not busy with their duties) and explain your wish. We have always found them to be quite helpful. I think if you approach it the right way they will do their best to help you.
Try this approach... a $20 in his paw.
