Waiting ever so patiently for rccl to post July 2024 sailings to Alaska. Been biting my nails. I know it is supposed to be up during this week but the anticipation is killing me. DH and I have been saving for so long and just want to book it to take some weight off. Please Royal, ever so kindly post your sailings!!! Happy Cruising!!!!

I have been to Alaska four times. twice on princess and twice on RCCL.  For my trips to Alaska (The only ports I have been to more than twice) I could care less what ship or cruise line I am on. As long as my Room has a balcony, Alaska provides my entertainment and I am NEVER bored.

There's a bump out mid ship that stick out further than the rest of the ship. Most suites are in that area on multiple decks. If you look at deck plans, you can't miss it.

Pretty sure the JS on the hump have both. Ours on Odyssey was on the hump and one side was sink/separate shower/bathtub and the other side was toilet and sink

I too am waiting patiently. Noticed Carnival started booking 2024 cruises. Come on RCCL let's get in the game. Biting my nails with anticipation waiting to book July 2024 cruise. 

Great.  We just booked Alaska on the Ovation.  Haha!  But seriously, we did just book that.  
Anyway, I'm not worried about the ship.  We're finally going to Alaska and I know we will have a marvelous time no matter what anyone else thinks about Ovation.  Good times are what you make of them.  We just feel blessed that we're going at all! 🙂

I print out everything, including email too!  I would rather have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.  My DH teases me saying that I have lists for my lists - probably a fairly accurate statement.... 

Good advice.  I always print out everything (I know, not very ecological of me, and I don't care) and take it with me.  I always seem to have a folder that is about an inch thick with everything that has transacted (from our TA and from Royal) with that cruise, everything from emails to invoices to excursions purchased/canceled, packages purchased/canceled, COVID Test purchased and results, etc etc etc.

For me it was mostly deserts but I like blaming the salt air better. 🤣

We are first responders, and while they do have a discount for law enforcement, we've never gotten a discount.  I believe discounts cannot be stacked and there's pretty much a price promotion 24/7 so we've just never gotten it.  I don't know that I've ever seen a health professional discount, but I doubt you'd actually ever see it applied if they did.

I totally agree with Matt's The Key Full Review. I have only gone once on a RC cruise but I took Matt's suggestions on how to save money.  I was able to get a 10:30 boarding time - that is for a balcony room!! The lines were not bad at all.  I purchased a 5 meal dining package - which I used one as my Chop lunch on embarkation day.  My husband purchased the VOOM internet, which I was able to use when he was not using it.  Since I only wanted to check emails, this was perfect for me.  We almost never ate in our room so the room service was never used. It was so easy to run out to grab a bit and bring it back to our room when we did eat in.  We all had a small backpack (with our bathing suits in it) so it was easy to just carry it around.  Having that bathing suit handy meant we could get into the pool early.  Our 6 night Western Caribbean cruise never used tenders.  Never had problems finding good seats at shows - and we arrived just as the shows were starting.  Finally, debarkation day - since I don't usually eat breakfast, just grabbing a quick bite and walking off as self service - the breakfast would be a waste.

We use a TA from different company even though MEI sounds great. TAs are great. Best price for a cruise ? I dont know, he takes care of us and dont worry about it.
