FWIW - Coco Cay has its own weather station, so if you use the Weather app on your iPhone (or similar) you can actually search for Coco Cay and get live weather update.

This is funny, because I've already found myself crossing my fingers for a suite Royal Up on our upcoming Jewel cruise after realizing how much smaller our Balcony cabin would be, and already having booked a Junior Suite directly for our next Allure cruise all as a result of our Odyssey Royal Up. 😅

I like to deduct the savings of not being home (power, food, etc) This can lower the perceived cost of cruising by 25-30%.

The Coco Beach Club is definitely something worth considering for days where Coco Cay has multiple ships in port.

While Royal Up is so addictive I have made in total 12 bids since joining this game some minimum some max & never have I even had a bid "locked" that I can remember. To add insult to injury, my last 2 sailings I received my thanks but no thanks notification first night of cruise during dinner service, yes feeling super sorry for myself.
So my plan is I am going to book a Star Class cabin for the 3 of us when the 2023 summer is released, I am going to choose something Mr. Cabash loves, Aruba perhaps and just tell him minimal about the cabin, oh it has a balcony and two bathrooms and when he asks "how much did it cost?" I'm going to tell him minus the 750.00 deposit and drone on about how expensive it is to sail now, costs of everything going up you know!
It will be 2023 by the time the devil gets his due so I will start stashing some extra monies now so when it's time I can pay in full for my Star Class experience. Good plan, no? Oh, and it's still cheaper than DCL! Yes, that will work, wish me LUCK!

I would also be really interested in this functionality - curious if there's any kind of API or scanner that could check for this kind of thing.

    I mostly cruise solo.
In the past I traveled for business often which is a lot like solo cruising.  On a business trip I was alone each evening and had to find things to do and eat by myself.  I was not going to rely on fast food so I grew accustomed to eating in full service restaurants by myself.  Cruising solo came naturally to me because it was much like one of my business trips except everyone around me is having fun and it's very easy to strike up a conversation on a ship.
Cruising solo means I don't need a large cabin because it's just me.  I can do what I want, when I want to do it.  It's usually easy to find a seat in the theater because I just need one seat.  If I feel like a full service dinner the MDR is always available to me but if I just want to grab something and go the Windjammer is there.  Sometimes I just have pizza for dinner, just like at home.
There are tables for two in the MDR or you can ask to be seated at a shared table.  I prefer to eat alone but to each their own.
Shore excursions are affordable because you are only shopping for one person.  Want to spend $300 on a helicopter ride to a glacier?  No problem, it's just one ticket.  Feel like specialty dining?  Just one cover charge to pay.
When it's time to debark or make my way to the airport it's just me so I can go at my pace.
I think I'd have a harder time planning a solo vacation on land or to a far away destination by plane but on a cruise solo travel is easy and it allows me to vacation to bucket list destinations I probably wouldn't try to piece together flying there solo.
Reaching 340 points in Crown & Anchor helps significantly for solo cruisers because they reduce the single supplement at that point.  Until then you have to pay a 200% supplement most of the time but you do get double points in most cabins.  There are many reduced single supplements out there right now so it is a great time to cruise solo.

I am looking for a strategy to search for cabin rates. Here is some context: Let's say I am interested in a particular cabin type such as a Junior Suite and I am hovering over my keyboard for the summer/fall 2023 itineraries to open up for booking. When the bookings open up, let's say I see three different ship/itineraries that appeal to me and I am interested in a September timeframe. Now I want to find the cheapest Junior Suites available. My experience is that the prices vary a lot depending on which week is selected, forward/aft of ship as well as floor number. I have also seen adjacent rooms have prices that vary by several hundred dollars, and I have seen some weeks are much more expensive than others.
What is the fastest way for someone to see all the Junior Suite prices for the above situation? Given my scenario, I am looking at three different itineraries and 4 possible weeks so essentially trying to compare prices across 12 different cruises. The only way I know of to compare prices is to open several browser windows and to methodically walk through the booking process comparing different dates, different floors etc. when what I really want to see is a giant list of J3/J4 prices, find the cheapest one then look to see what week, ship and room is associated with that price. I have tried to keep the scenario simple for the sake of discussion but in reality, for the 2023 itineraries that should be available soon I am open to any sailings out of Boston/NJ/Baltimore from April 2023 through the end of the year where I don't really care about the itinerary, I just want the cheapest Jr Suite available.
We do work with a travel agent so I know that they have a better feel for the price variances since they spend more time doing this sort of thing but even they may not catch the obscure cabin on a given itinerary that is a super deal.
Is there any way for a mortal to do this?
    Dave

I loved the limited capacity on Odyssey - getting to experience the newest ship in the fleet and feeling at times like you had the ship to yourself was such a unique experience that I will always remember. Similarly, it let us get a great deal on a Royal Up to a Junior Suite that really elevated the experience for us.
