  1. My biggest concern with 4 in a room is the bathroom situation.  If you are considering a Junior Suite…why not consider 2 OV Balconies next to each other or connecting.  You could also consider one OVBalcony with an interior across the hall.  With a 2 room choice you may need to book one adult with one tween in each room.  2 rooms gives 2 bathrooms.  A JS still has just 1 bathroom with a tub.

Of course price is most important but to me…so is comfort and convenience.

    Best of luck!

  2. Viator is my go to touring choice.  I’ve used them only on my land vacations and my satisfaction is 100%!   I am currently looking at a few tours if my May cruise Labadee stop ends up in Falmouth instead.  I am hoping Royal contacts us sooner than later to have plenty of time to reassess what to do on that day…and also to cancel what is already booked for Labadee.

  3. Looks like all the closer sailing dates for Symphony have been rerouted to Falmouth, Jamaica sans Labadee.  Wonder if that will hold true for the May sailings as well.

My biggest concern (forgive me if I have already mentioned this) is the fact that we are sailing from Bayonne and typically cruises from there stop in Port Canaveral, Nassau, and CocoCay.  I just don’t want our cruise to become a “typical” sailing since we are the ones with this unique 2 Royal property ports and no Nassau!

From looking at the cabin TV map, we’re pretty close to St. Thomas (but still doing 19.8 kts).

I’m not well versed in this stuff, but we left CocoCay over 36 hours ago. I feel like we should be able to get to St. Thomas earlier just be going a tiny bit faster per hour over such a long way. Maybe I’m wrong or maybe others enjoy being in port from 12-7pm instead of 9-5 or whatever.

Just some random thoughts. Off to breakfast, Solarium, etc.

There are 3 ships docked at St Thomas right now.  Weather looks lovely!☺️
    And Wonder is arriving!

    Here's the deal ...

We've rented an OTW cabana at Coco Beach in the past and loved it. However, on our upcoming cruise, i absolutely will not spend $4099 + tax on our upcoming cruise for < 8 hours. Yeah, i can't justify that as we are not sharing the expense. There are 7 Cabanas still left with a cruise date of 5/31. Good for Royal for getting 3 sold; we will not be one of them at that price.

I thought about the Hideout Cabanas but i wasn't sure Hubs would go for a pool on a beach. By the time he agreed, they are sold out.

Our intinerary is such that we're only getting off the ship at PDCC. Hubs won't get off the ship without a decent home-base where sand isn't getting in his nethers, IYKYK. He's totally a cabana man.

That said, which part of PDCC are you booking a cabana if Coco Beach and Hideaway Beach are off the table? South Beach? Chill Island? Not sure hubs would consider Oasis Lagoon?

    Thanks for any input.

  6. I’ll be holding my breath until they release the new stop for my mid-May Symphony cruise!  It’s the first cruise out of Bayonne and we booked specifically because there was NO Nassau stop and Labadee and CocoCay were the only 2 ports besides the typical Port Canaveral stop!  My point…I DO NOT want Nassau!!!

Hoping Royal will add an additional island stop somewhere in the itinerary. 🤞🏻

  7. You will be able to go to Guest Services once onboard and request an extra key for each room.  The extra key gets you into the room you will sleep in but you will still need to use the other key (with your name on it) for all room charges.  Same goes for the other extra key which will be for the older minor child booked in the room with Mom 😊.  Definitely will be no problem at all!  No need for sneaking in and out of the other room.  😉

tentatively booked a half day river tubing to the beach that gets good reviews on Viator for the day we're in Falmouth.

I’ve used Viator tours several times in the last year and they are terrific.  Every tour guide I’ve had is great…very knowledgeable, great personalities, love their jobs!

  9. What a great week of information and pictures and entertainment!  If I didn’t know any better I’d believe I just got off a cruise ship!  😉

Hope your trip home was carefree and on time!  Enjoy the next few months as your daughter moves along the path of maturity, adventure, fun, sadness, and the future!  The best is yet to come for all of you!  XO

One of the recent attendants began mumbling something about us invading his "kit"...so I suspect that the spare comforter is something that they use when they make up the room for the next guest.  Sorry...I don't care.  Just leave my nappy blanky alone !

That was exactly what our guy called the package…his kit.  But he was at least nice to us and did not call us invaders…lol!   And yes, he said it is there for the next occupants.
