  1. Great, bet there will be a pop up person on my screen encouraging me to bid on something. Get it, get it, do it, do it, do it?
  2. I do feel allot better now that there are vaccines just around the corner. And like most of the people who post on here, I can't wait to cruise again. But it seems every time there's good news about this and we feel we're moving forward, along comes stories like the Sea Dream, and between the media blowing stuff out of proportion in the name of making money via website clicks and viewership ratings, and all of the misinformed senators and cruise haters opening their mouths, not to mention people on these boards who like to post their own personal negative opinions, we get dragged back. I'm so beyond over this?
  3. Tell that to the 20,000+ who want to go on a test cruise. As much as I don't want to say it, this is purely political. Wouldn't surprise me if these 2 were never even near a cruise ship. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/11/13/us-senators-ask-cdc-bring-back-the-no-sail-order-cruise-ship-ban
  4. Yes, please, I sooooo need to win more key chains 7 hi-liters. I'll be waiting at the Schooner Bar.
  5. They just recently opened up cruise planner sales for November, 2021. Nothing great right now, the prices should be better for my cruise in a few months, but I'll keep checking. As for January, 2022, you "should" start seeing sales in January, 2021, but keep checking for you never know. When Matt posts the sales in the blog he lists the sailing dates that are included in the current sale. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/11/11/save-45-pre-cruise-add-ons-royal-caribbeans-new-sale
  6. I'm guessing, but more then likely Navigator of the Seas will be among the first ships to return to service. Perhaps they're picking up more crew for training. That said I've been watching the port cameras on PZT quite often now and using Cruise Mapper to see who's where. I know the ships had to go over towards the Bahamas recently to get away from this late season storm, looks like they may be starting to head back. https://www.ptztv.com/portfolio/seaports/ https://www.cruisemapper.com/
  7. I'd hate to see this turn into a political thread and get locked, but I would love to cruise to Cuba. Empress & Majesty are awaiting the call I'm sure. I really just want to see all those old cars there still running and in mint condition. After that, the history of the island.
  8. With the Refreshment Package, I always got the fresh squeezed orange juice at Windjammer at breakfast time. On Freedom of the Seas, I enjoyed watching them put the oranges into the that big juicer machine and getting the freshest tastiest orange juice ever. Never saw the juicers in action on the other cruises though, but I could tell the juice was freshly squeezed recently.
  9. I'll first say that I believe the Healthy sail panel and their recommendations will keep us safe, I trust them completely. So if you asked me this 2 or 3 weeks ago, probably yes. But now that I'm 9 days into being covid positive with minimal symptom's, no. I'll now wait till there's a successful vaccine and I can get it. Still have over a year till my next Royal cruise and I can easily reschedule the May one in the (hopefully) unlikely event we have to.
  10. I remember staying in Little Torch Key for a few nights in mid November, 2018 and visiting Key West on a Friday. There were 2 ships in port that day (couldn't tell you which ones they were off hand). I remember Duval Street and the surrounding streets being very crowded during the time passengers were allowed off. Most restaurants were very crowded and hectic too. But as 5:00PM and all aboard came around there was a day and night difference in the crowds and Mallory Square at sunset was beautiful with not allot of people around. I do also remember as sunset was approaching the ship nearest to Mallory Square was leaving and there were people beginning to get upset because as the ship was pulling away it was blocking the view of the sunset, but it turned out OK, the ship got out of the way with time to spare.
  11. I can now erase the Oasis of the Seas cruise from my signature? I booked this back in December, 2018 at Next Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas. Got a great price for a promenade view room, & it even went down a few times. It would have been our first Oasis class cruise. We were even lucky enough to score the $18.00 DBP. While I'm happy cruising has gotten the green light to to begin the next phase of returning of course I'm disappointed (who isn't) that we ran out of time and now the December cruises are cancelled (but this time for a different, better reason). It's a small comfort, but with the 125% FCC I'll now have more then enough to pay the balances on my next 2 booked Royal Caribbean cruises in 2021 & 2022. I'll also have allot of onboard credit on my next cruise from the 125% cruise planner credit from this one.
  12. Apparently winter 2022 also means April, 2022. I checked to see if my April, 2022 cruise on Freedom of the Seas was effected and low and behold it is no longer listed. Only Empress of the Seas is available. Not too thrilled about this, but I did get this as the end result of a lift & shift from Enchantment of the seas.
  13. The answer is, it depends on what you're looking for in a cruise experience. If you're new to cruising I suggest you check out the "getting started" tab at the top of this page. Lots of great info there. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/getting-started
  14. We did the RIU in December, 2018 and we loved it. It's within walking distance of Atlantis. Keep in mind that the RIU is adults only and it's booked thru a third party. You may or may not be able to do this depending on when your next cruise is and/or what the ships rules are pertaining to outside excursions when we start cruising again.
  15. April, 2019, visiting Nacional Beach Club in Mahahual, Mexico. We had the best time there. Great staff, great food and even greater drinks.
  16. During this "time off" from just about everything leisure wise, I rescheduled one cruise and booked 2 additional ones at great rates. So I have 4 cruises to look forward to between this December and April, 2022. I also have some land based vacations planned for this year and next as well.
  17. Lest we forget, perhaps the best reason for using Southwest, especially for cruisers, is 2 free checked bags in addition to a carryon.
  18. Don't know if Mr. Sancho's is bigger, but we've been to Nachi Cocom before and we'll go back again the next time we go to Cozumel. More adult oriented, more laid back, less children & less party atmosphere. That's what I need in an all inclusive.
  19. We have that on our December cruise. I can only imagine how many people have lost out on that so far.
