If I remember correctly, on Liberty last year it covered up to 12 dollars per drink.  Anytime we ordered some wine or something that was over it was on the receipt we signed.  98% percent of everything was covered and there were no surprises is what Im trying to say right after waking up and no coffee yet..LOL

For the most part, unless you are asking for extreme top shelf liquors or pricey wines, your drink package will cover whatever you order.

Everyone should follow that advice, not even just in cruises, I always end up behind a person in line for airplanes who doesn’t seem to know how to access their boarding pass.

jaredhamburg got a reaction from USFFrank in Shore Excursions - Nassau
Hello, everyone!  My wife, two children (9 and 5) and I will be visiting Nassau from 7AM to 4PM on Enchantment of the Seas in September 2020.  We will have just been at Coco Cay the day before.  What is a good recommendation?  I see some people like and dislike the Blue Lagoon (Matt on this site like the VIP section, but I have heard other people say how it takes forever to get there and back...eating into the fun time of the excursion), but I wonder if the hours we are in port make that amount to less time there than I would want for paying for the excursion.  Also, there is a glass bottom boat tour.  Most of the excursions have age limits not allowing the kids and wanted someone's take.  I am not a risk seeker and do not really like the idea of walking around Nassau on our own.  Any tips, advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
PS - We are all fully mobile and are just in it for the fun.
    Thanks!

Generally speaking the plan covers drinks $13 and up on Oasis and Quantum class ships.  With the exception of some wines by the glass and some higher end scotch, I can't remember ordering anything not covered 100%.

No need to apologize. There are entire threads dedicated to drinking here. This is a safe place.

I screen capture both our Set Sail passes from the app so I can just open my photos and they scan the barcodes easily.  Sometimes the app is slow to open so this seems to be more convenient

I know this may make me sounds like a lush....but my understanding is that you do not get your Sea Pass until your room is ready on Enchantment of the Seas (waiting right outside of your door).  If we board in the morning before the room is ready, can we still use our drink package?
    Thanks!

Yes, there is a bar code on the set sail pass (or on the digital one on your phone if you checked in with the app). They scan that instead of the card. Had a Mai Tai in my hand within minutes of boarding Enchantment in February!?

Yes, but you will need to take her seapass card with you to the bar.  Oftentimes, once a bartender knows you and knows that you both have the pkg, they will not need to see her card, but for bartenders that do not know you, you will have to present both cards in order to get 2 drinks.

I just got $49.99 / per person / per day on the DBP on a September sailing on Enchantment of the Seas.  I was pretty happy with that price for it.  Glad to see the old normal of a cruise planner sale in force.....

Take a look at past cruise compassess here:

That should give you an idea if specialty dining was open on day 1.

You are very welcome.  Yes, I do think the Chops lunch on embarkation day is worth the money.  I don’t know if you can make a cruise planner reservation for embarkation day or not, but even if you cannot, I’m sure you can go on a walk-up basis and pay on site. I would recommend you go fairly early if you do it that way.  I think they’re usually open until 1:30 or 2:00.  It’s a very special, relaxed way to start your cruise. They normally open at noon.

I have not been on Enchantment so I cannot confirm but on MOST ships, the Chops lunch (not including the Key) is served in the restaurant and uses the normal Chops lunch menu.  I do know that on Oasis, Chops is no longer open at all on embarkation day (unless this has changed since December).  So if you have purchased either a Chops lunch or the Unlimited Dining Package, you should be able to have lunch in the Chops restaurant on embarkation day, except on Oasis.

Update:  I just looked online and I would have been able to book Chops for lunch on embarkation day if I wanted to do that.  That is somewhat confusing to me as the last time I was on Oasis, they had closed Chops completely on embarkation day....so I don't know if this is just a legacy glitch that still shows Chops available for embarkation lunch or if they have changed it back again so that Chops is actually open on embarkation day.  The price for embarkation day lunch was $21.99 PP.
So who knows if you can really have lunch at Chops on embarkation day or not.  It allowed me to put it into my cart but I did not try and complete the transaction.

On one of my cruises that's been cancelled now, I was able to both put it in my cart AND complete the transaction; I'm wondering if Chops was closed for "The Key" luncheon, which has now moved to the MDR?

Yes, that’s how it was explained to us.  Our Genie told us that they did not have the staff to cover both the Key lunch in the MDR and full service in the restaurant so they decided to just close the restaurant on embarkation day.  Maybe they have changed their minds or maybe they just never removed Chops day 1 from the options in the CP.  it will be December before I will see for myself.

If I go forward on my June cruise, I'll book Chops for lunch on embarkation day through my Cruise Planner and report back.

I wouldn't count on a Customer Service Rep knowing an accurate answer to this. Even if they were installed on every balcony door at some point, the one in your cabin may not be functional. Or it may have been removed by maintenance for some repair or may have broken off and never been replaced.
We start having "the balcony talks" with both our kids a couple months before every sailing. In addition to my 8 yo son, my daughter is 11 and is Autistic with some impulse control issues so I understand your concern. We basically drill into them both over and over that they aren't allowed on the balcony alone, they can't climb up on a balcony railing, they can't pull a chair up next to the balcony railing to get a better look over the edge, no sitting on a railing, etc. until we can literally hear their eye rolls and can can sense them think "not this speech again". Then we make them repeat it back to us a few hundred times.

jaredhamburg got a reaction from Baked Alaska in High High prices on beverage packages.
I had to go from EOS in March (great deals on the Blue Lagoon and $18.99/pp/per day on The Key)......Now, the prices for the EOS 9/25/2020 sailing has about a 25% higher price on the Blue Lagoon and $26.99/pp/per day on The Key.......I know The Key is not popular with some, but it was a good deal in my mind as I needed Internet as well......I am watching and hoping for some deals when sailing (hopefully) resumes soon....
BTW, I would have loved a drink package (my wife and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary a wee late now); but we will be buying a drink at a time at these prices (especially with having a couple of non-CoCo Cay port days).
PS - Thanks everyone for sharing all the information on here!  It is so helpful!
