My cruise contract for my suite does not allow for any time to have my deposit refunded.  It was nonrefundable from the start.

It's currently $9.99/person/day, but Black Friday has done $7.99/person/day in the past, last year was $8.99/person/day.

black friday soda package, is 8.99. this had been the sale price for the last 2 yrs

This is also what I'm seeing for my Symphony sailing in March. I got it for my kids during the Black Friday sale for $8.99, so only a $1 off per day. 

Sale price is usually $9.99 or so. Might have been a little less during Black Friday.

Bailey needs to take the axe away from Jason Liberty; if he keeps chopping, they won't have to worry about crowding anywhere.

I always buy the package ahead of time. I've showed the wait staff my SeaPass card in the MDR and was never charged for soda. IIRC there is a code on the card showing you have the soda package. I have had the word "soda" or something like that in the past written out on the card, too. The later may have been another crusise line.

I'm going to be celebrating 11 months of recovery time while on The Wonder of the Seas on 7/20.  I know the meetings are self-led but does anyone know if the ships provide chips for the meeting for those that are celebrating anniversaries?

I recommend you stop by the Internet assistance desk when you board.  At times there are issues with some of the settings on phones which can negatively impact the ability to use the phone as you would think it would work. 
 
another option besides FaceTime is WhatsApp.  It is an app, you can add it to your phone now and have your kids do the same.  I use it as an alternative when facetime is spotty

Yes, I am looking forward to staying in the Crown Loft Suite. I have waited for this day since they were introduced on the Oasis! The "kids" are not coming along with Mom and me this time. I am usually a cheapskate and we share one device. We just log in and out.

5.  Be prepared for the internet connection to be spotty and at some times downright unusable.  If you can climb one of the communication towers on the ship, that may help.😀

Everybody has covered most of your questions but I wanted to offer one thing that may save you some money.  You state you and your mom will each have the internet package.  Did you mean you are buying a 1 device package for each of you?  If so, it will almost certainly be cheaper to buy one 2 device package and share.  (Or if you're bringing more than 1  device each, buy the appropriate size package).  There's no benefit to multiple packages.

When I put my phone in airplane mode, it also turns off my wifi and then I have to select to turn wifi back on to use it on the ship. Probably you know this, but thought I would put it into writing for you!

Airplane mode turns off cellular data.  This is important when the ship is at sea, regardless if you buy internet or not. If you're in a foreign port that your cell plan covers, then you can take it out of airplane mode if you choose.

Be sure to have wifi calling enabled before the ship embarks. You can't turn on wifi calling without a cellular connection. Even if you've turned it on in the past, always check anyway, since software updates and various other network hiccups can turn it off.

Also, wifi calling can still be hit or miss even when enabled.   I've had instances where my phone could make wifi call but my wife's couldn't, despite wifi calling being enabled and the phones being identical.

1. YES! Very, very important! If you have a phone package that has Canada and Mexico you can go off of airplane mode in the Mexico ports but be sure to turn off Data Roaming (personal knowledge). On our excursions to the beach we usually find they have free WiFi and use that and put the phone back in airplane mode.
2. Yes, wife and I stay connected by this on the ship and message our kids at home (and others).
3. Yes, we use this all the time.
4. Yes, we see people wandering around all the time using it and bumping into others🤣.

Well, first I received them with my daughter's name.  A call to C&A changed it. Now, they have my son's name. My name comes first in the alphabet. 

The only URL I'm seeing is for the personalized edition. So I quickly made a redacted copy without my personal information.
