  1. Have a great time! We don't sail out of Miami again until APR 2021 (Symphony), but my wife is already playing Will Smith's Miami constantly on the Echo! ? Now I need to find a song for Cape Liberty/Oasis for next MAY! No, I'm not playing Sinatra (only for Yankee games)! ?
  2. Hi @Shannon ! So exciting! Congrats! I'm sure you will have an amazing time on Allure... we sailed on her last May and it turned out to be our favorite cruise to date (only our 5th)! How to pass the time? We (my wife is the silent partner!) like to keep active on the blog and live vicariously through others through the Live Blogs here. Pay very close attention to any of the Oasis-class ship Live Blogs... especially when Matt sails on the newly Amped Oasis on 11/24/19! I believe Allure will have most, if not all, of the enhancements Oasis just received so that should be a fun one to follow as it will give you a good idea of what to expect after Allure is "amplified" next year! Also, explore the other sections and take a look at past Cruise Compasses (https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass), menus (https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/menus), etc.!
  3. She's in Port Everglades now... looks like she arrived at 6:08 AM this morning! Here's a live video camera feed of Oasis from the port... at least as of the time I'm posting this! https://www.portevergladeswebcam.com/
  4. Love the tracking! It’s like tracking Santa and his sleigh!
  5. Hot tubs... of course they are... Pools... not sure, but someone will know! Not likely heated if in a hot climate like the Caribbean... maybe for colder climates/itineraries like Alaska?
  6. We agree with @WannaCruise in that we love the Oasis class ships right now for the sheer variety of entertainment, activities and dining options. We too absolutely love the neighborhood concept and especially loved Central Park. Currently prefer bigger, newer and more modern... I love to just stare at each ship in amazement when we're in port! We loved every Royal cruise, but this would have to be our current order (follows the bigger bias!): 1. Allure 2. Liberty 3. Explorer 4. Majesty We currently have Oasis booked for May 2020 and Symphony for April 2021... surprise, surprise! We really want to try Anthem or Odyssey and Navigator or Mariner now too!
  7. Thanks for the pic of the activity schedule! Nice to see that the Ultimate Abyss is included (we were on Allure so naturally not an option)! I wish they would add the water slides too! Wow, I wonder if the quality will suffer now that the Chops embarkation lunch was moved to the MDR... we had ours in Chops back in May before the switch to the MDR and it was awesome for the four of us! Filet was amazing... tender and delicious!
  8. Yes, I can confirm Harmony's drydock is April 2021. We had booked Harmony in APR 2021 early on, but Royal subsequently cancelled our sailing (and all APR 2021 sailings) for the 5-year drydock.
  9. Hi @cadu43! Regarding activities... you cannot skip to the front of the line with the Key. However, you will get a printed schedule in your cabin on embarkation day which will list the exclusive times reserved for Key members. On an Oasis class ship (Allure as an example), as @twangster mentioned, Key members (as a group) had a single one hour reserved session for the Zipline, Flowrider and rock climbing wall scheduled (one session scheduled for each activity for the entire cruise). For that one hour, you could go on as many times as you like while only sharing with other Key members. Unless it has changed ("line skipping benefit"), and my Key experience goes back to May, it can only potentially give you the ability to be escorted to the front of the line at the gangway for priority departure at ports of call. Sometimes, you will get a Key priority departure flyer in your cabin the night before telling you where to go and at what time to meet in order to be escorted off the ship earlier than everyone else (maybe 15-30 minutes earlier). However, when we were in Labadee, they did not give us an earlier time (and we wanted one so we could grab our cabana of choice at Nellie's Beach since they are not assigned). We went down to guest services to inquire and they just told us to go down to the gangway and let the crew member know we have the Key (show your SeaPass with the Key logo) and they would escort us to the front of the line. In our case, we got there early and we were the second group in line so it was not necessary.
  10. Hi @Danielle OG! Have an amazing time and please let us know how you do!
  11. My understanding and experience is that in all specialty restaurants you get one main entree, but you can have multiple appetizers, sides and desserts. The exception is with the Unlimited Dining Package... you can have multiple entrees with that package.
  12. Love this thread! So many good tips! Just a couple of things I’ve learned from this blog over the years... (1) If something is not as expected or disappointing, don’t just accept it and let it ruin your experience or even your whole cruise. Speak up at that time (be nice) and ask questions. The crew members want to make your cruise amazing and will do what they can to make it right. (2) If you find a food, wine, etc., that you really like in one restaurant, but it’s not on the menu in another or that specific evening (MDR), ask the waiter. I’ve heard with notice, especially in the MDR, that if you tell the waitstaff that you like a specific meal or appetizer that was offered on another evening, they will have it prepared for you as long as they still have the ingredients. We experienced a little bit of this on our last cruise. We found a wine that we all enjoyed in Chops Grille, but it was not available in Giovanni’s. We mentioned it to the waiter and he had someone run over to Chops Grille to grab a couple of bottles for our table! Good use of our DBP!
  13. Wow! So very happy for you! I'm going on 12 years myself. The cruise will be here before you know it! Have an amazing time and please let us know how you liked it! My wife and I would love to do the ABC islands soon... on the short list.
  14. Yeah, I'm hoping for more of those Bermuda itineraries too!
  15. LOL! ? Just in case you did not see Matt's article from 10/29... https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2019/10/29/royal-caribbean-delays-deployment-schedule-may-2021-april-2022
  16. The cheapest we've personally seen the DBP was $45 back in May on Allure... I doubt I'll ever see that on upcoming Oasis and Symphony. ? Darn glitch ruined it for the rest of us... RC looking to make some of that lost revenue back! LOL!
  17. Here's another link to an article (in Spanish) loaded with nice photos... article dated today: https://www.diariodecadiz.es/noticias-provincia-cadiz/Impresionantes-imagenes-transformacion-astillero-Oasis_3_1405089485.html#slide-1
  18. @CHRIS WONG Chris, I think my wife and I will just miss you as we're on Oasis at the end of next May! Best of luck on Oasis!
  19. Reminds me of the Priceline commercial with the chair hog... I hope I’m not violating anything by posting this! Please delete if I am!
  20. I just hope that whichever ship returns/comes to Cape Liberty in 2021 resumes an itinerary that includes Bermuda! I'm assuming Oasis class is too large to dock at Kings Wharf, etc.? Love the Bermuda (my profile photo ) and Eastern Caribbean itinerary! We did that once on Liberty back in 2015. Right now, we're newer or amped ship snobs! Still haven't had the chance to sail on Anthem!
  21. As always, thank you so much for sharing! Your photos are always so amazing!
