I am offended that there are still those who want to decide for others what we can and can't do.
I have been vaccinated and have yet to see any valid medical reason why I shouldn't be allowed to make my own choices about how I spend my time.  The overwhelming evidence is that I am highly unlikely to get the disease - even if I were directly exposed.  If I did manage to get it the evidence shows that with near 100% certainty, I would get a mild case - no worse than many other illnesses.  It will be 100% my choice whether I decide to go on a cruise and will have the full information available as to who else would be on the cruise with me, and what protocols would be in place.
You have the absolute right to live your life as you see fit.  If you still see risk, then stay away from others.  I assure you that I will defend your right to make whatever choices you are comfortable with.  Why wouldn't you allow others the same choice?

You could have your 11 year old moved up into the teen group if you request it.  This may solve your problem.

I learned my lesson on self booking cruises.  I have always either booked directly, or used Expedia without any issues until the covid cancellations.  After a lot of issues with getting my FCC's applied correctly, I have made the switch to a real travel agent (MEI).  It is worth it for issues like you are describing - let them figure out what is going on and explain it to you.

Assuming we are fully checked in on the app, I expect that there will be a luggage drop off area, followed by a scan of your check in on your phone, a quick temp check, and then you will get on the ship.  I assume your key cards will be in the room, or issued at some point during boarding.

I think you are misunderstanding how the 90% numbers are derived and how herd immunity works.  It means that if you are 100% exposed to the virus, you have less than a 10% chance of contracting it.  It makes the virus very unlikely to spread among vaccinated people - especially if they have been tested before getting on the ship.  Even if you did get it, it would not be a serious virus.

This is what bureaucrats do.  Its why the government never does anything well. They are not comfortable making decisions, they like to enforce things.

So the CDC is the perfect example of a bloated, useless government entity.
They have had a bunch of high priced scientists and lawyers spend the entire duration of the pandemic writing up a massive complicated legal document that they are finally starting to release just in time for the whole thing to be rendered worthless by the fact that the pandemic is ending ...

Oops.  I may have added another.
BUT...  in my defense it was on sale.  Think of the money I saved.

I moved during the pandemic from a lockdown state.  It took me several days to realize there were kids walking somewhere every morning, riding their bikes somewhere, playing outside before it dawned on me... "They're going to SCHOOL!".
Months later and no major outbreaks announced.
I appreciate there are some young and old that are hit with lasting effects that are difficult to understand or even count and I have lost family members from the virus.
I also believe there will be lasting impacts to keeping our children uneducated and unsocialized.  These are equally difficult to categorize and calculate what the lasting impacts will be not only to our children but for the country in the years ahead.
Initially I did think closing schools was the right call given how little we knew a year ago.  At this point I think keeping schools closed is doing more harm than good even if all virus risk hasn't been fully discovered and accurately quantified.
Remote learning doesn't work very well and has very little socialization rewards.  My kids are grown so I'm not faced with making the decision but if I was I think I would call for schools to open and send my kids.

The price per point right now makes it a great time for any CAS ladder climbers out there!

I am at 22 points currently but will be Diamond within the next 2 years.
    6/12/21 AOS 7 day - JS - 28 points
    11/21/21 Oasis 7 day- GS - 28 points
    3/13/22 Liberty 7 day - Balcony - 14 points
    6/2/22 Allure 7 day - Balcony - 14 points
    1/15/23 Allure 7 day - Balcony - 7 points currently

If I am calculating correctly, I should be at 113 points with my current bookings.

The cruises out of Israel still have pretty much full covid restrictions despite all passengers being vaccinated.  Any thoughts on some of these being lifted by June?  Since the CDC itself says that vaccinated people can gather in small groups(without masks), it seems that the full court press should give a little.

I am booked on June 12 and will go either way

Some I'd like lifted at a minimum.
Masks outside - to me they should be restricted to inside places where social distancing cannot be maintained, or eliminated completely(I know this won't happen)
Extreme social distancing, especially outside - I'm hoping that we won't be fighting over time at the pool.

You know your habits and how you use your phone, we don't.
Do you lock your phone in the safe while cruising?
Are you looking for calling to keep in contact with elderly parents or young children at home?
Do you use your phone to check news, watch security cameras at home, check work emails, watch cat videos, etc. ?
When you are off the ship at a port you are probably doing something so you might be able to get by without being constantly connected.
Once back on the ship you may be sitting by the pool on a sea day and more likely to use your phone.
Only you know your habits so choose wisely because the AT&T plan could end up costing you high data charges while on the ship.
