  1. If your neighbors are making a lot of noise, that might just be me and my family. We are in 12648. I have almost the exact story about getting a great price on the 2br grand suite, incredible for a holiday cruise. I'm sure we will cross paths in the suite lounge!
  2. We had them in our JS on Adventure in June and the cabin attendant replaced them each day - it was a nice convenience.
  3. Making the change would mean that Royal cruises meet tbe "vaccinated" standard that allows for looser CDC control. Since the CSO is supposed to end in January, it may not matter but I'm not sure they will trust the CDC to actually end it. I'm not a fan of mandates and although I'm vaccinated and my 15 year old is vaccinated, I'm not convinced that vaccinating 5 year olds is necessary.
  4. I don't see how it would be possible to do once you are on the ship. Everything is booked in by stateroom number and it would create a lot of confusion onboard, even if you approached the other guests and they agreed.
  5. Make sure you take note of all the Covid requirements that are listed. Have a plan to be sure you get your Covid test sometime on December 10th and bring a paper copy of the negative results. Spend some time reading the posts on this board - there are a lot of VERY knowledgeable cruisers on this board. If you have any questions, this is probably the best place to get an answer.
  6. The CDC guidelines for vaccinated persons is as follows: People who are fully vaccinated do NOT need to quarantine after contact with someone who had COVID-19 unless they have symptoms. However, fully vaccinated people should get tested 5-7 days after their exposure, even if they don’t have symptoms and wear a mask indoors in public for 14 days following exposure or until their test result is negative.
  7. I don't believe there is a time limit for the next drink.
  8. The suite lounge rules state that under 18 year old's must be accompanied by an adult.
  9. I would bring the passports and birth certificates. It shouldn't be a big deal on the itinerary you are on. Get them renewed as soon as you get back.
  10. I think there is a happy medium. We don't really need someone to hand us the cup of iced tea that is already poured and just sitting at a table. I do like the staff serving the main dishes.
  11. I like that they have published them so that people can make plans. I know that there are unvaccinated folks out there who have cruises booked and are hoping the Vax mandate gets dropped. At least now they know.
  12. As you stated above, you will be charged (or may have already prepaid) for the standard tips. If you wish to tip above that, simply hand them the envelope, or cash directly and thank them. This could be done at the end of the cruise, or immediately after receiving some service.
  13. Some credits, such as ones coming from your TA, don't appear until you are on the ship - usually on day 2. There are many types of OBC.
  14. You can take the test at any time on Thursday. Children, any time on Wednesday.
  15. This is a good reason to have a travel agent. If you have one, you need a new one.
  16. I have never tried an inside cabin. I probably will at some point. My wife is convinced she would hate it so we will try a short cruise at some point. It would mean a few more cruises per year in retirement so I want to at least see.
  17. Assuming all of you are vaccinated by then, I would recommend the following. Rotana- Rony's tours - they have both prepackaged and private tours available. Choices are on their website. The zip lines and snorkeling are good on Roatan. It's worth a trip to see the sloths also. Cozumel- Paradise Beach or Mr Sancho's. Paradise Beach has a pay as you go option vs Mr Sancho being all inclusive. Both have fun inflatables in the water that the kids will like. Costa Maya - has good Mayan ruins if you like them. Otherwise it's a beach. Maya Chan is a popular club. There is also plenty of beach club/restaurants in the town. The beach is nice but beware that there are lots of vendors approaching you on the beach. Go to Maya Chan to avoid this If you are not all vaccinated, you will need to stay on Royal excursions only.
  18. Got it. Hopefully your email will get it sorted out.
  19. I think it us a safe bet. They wouldn't have built the new terminal if they didn't intend to keep an Oasis class ship there. I suppose they could still switch ships if they decide to finally amplify Allure.
  20. Wonder doesn't have anywhere near the number of suites that Allure had. It was designed for the Asian market. You should have received an email back a few months ago explaining the changes, and a second email including your new room assignment. You had a few weeks to get a full refund if you didn't like the new assignment. There were numerous threads on this board with others in a similar situation at the time. At this point, you should still be able to cancel and receive a FCC. Too be honest, your TA dropped the ball on this. They should have been fully aware of this issue back in September.
  21. We received similar on Liberty in our cabin - pre covid. I believe they are also available at in the teen lounge and guest service.
  22. My favorite are the people who stop immediately upon entering a busy Costco.
  23. You are correct, but you should be aware that the US does not require either to travel. Just make sure you keep good social distance once you are in the US. Covid rates are pretty low right now (could change by December) and are still primarily spread amongst non vaccinated people.
  24. They would be flying from Canada and would require a negative test to enter the US.
