Suite Beach at Coco Cay
WAAAYTOOO replied to DrunkysAmazingRaceWinner's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
You are correct. I should have said..that there are currently no plans to have a suite-exclusive area on Perfect Day at Coco Cay. I don't know if the old suites area near the old cabanas is still there or not. I know they have moved the cabanas elsewhere. -

There was a modest price reduction on our upcoming Freedom cruise but it's past final payment so no joy.... oh well, it is a comp cruise for us anyway... -
Galveston & the Oasis Class
WAAAYTOOO replied to Zambia-Zaire's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
As far as "the night before the cruise" is concerned, Port Canaveral is by FAR my favorite port. I love the seafood restaurants right there at the port. We have such a workable scenario with Orlando airport/Hertz rental/Residence Inn that it is a carefree and fun trip. -
We've been in both the A1 and the A2. Both are GREAT but I will say that deck 8 is much bigger than deck 9. I think people have decided (I know we have !!) that they would rather be up on Deck 17 and not bother with the long walk and that may be 1 reason why the ATS seem to be a little cheaper than the other SC suites. But I absolutely think everyone should try the ATS at least once. They are very very special.

$56 ?!? Wow...it's not even that high on our O class cruises. YIKES ! -
This is the hardest one for me. I am always SOOO tired when I get to my destination but try and stay awake until the actual local sleeping time.

Compare the KEY benefits to suites benefits
WAAAYTOOO replied to Traveler's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
"They" need to fix this ! A benefit that you cannot use is no benefit at all. Sorry you had to deal with this. You should not have had to be the enforcer. -
You must be doin' it right then !!

On Allure and Oasis the arcade is right ON the Boardwalk. I think it's the same for Harmony but I cannot remember for sure.

I think the seafood tower is a right of passage for all Star Class guests. I remember when we ordered it. We did it just because we COULD but let me tell you.....if you order the seafood tower DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ELSE ! It is monstrous ! We had one of the Jim twins with us on that cruise and even with 3 of us eating it we left about half of it. ....but we foolishly ordered other food as well. I think they put the seafood tower on the menu just to see the Star Class people order it and then wish they hadn't !!!!

Galveston & the Oasis Class
WAAAYTOOO replied to Zambia-Zaire's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I receive comp cruise offers once a month from the casino revenue/marketing folks and I have been noticing that Liberty seems to be very prominent in the comp cruise category. Matter of fact, we have a comp cruise coming up on Liberty in August. Additionally, the OS on Liberty are significantly cheaper than any of the other OS that I have priced lately including an OS on Freedom out of San Juan (traditionally, cruises out of SJ are cheaper b/c the airfare is so expensive to get there). All of these bread crumbs have me wondering if Galveston can really support an O class ship. It seem (to me, at least) that they are heavily discounting the rooms out of Galveston now. What would happen if they increase capacity even more. Just an observation... -

Francis (Grandeur) told us that they will eventually be turning that CL into a SL. No timeline noted but was very certain that it would happen -
Do "Sea Class" cabins get priority check-in and embarkation?
WAAAYTOOO replied to Marc's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I agree. I am fairly sure that JS get access to the suites priority check-in. That's pretty much where the perks end, but at least they get that much !! -
I have no social media so I haven't anything to worry about !

Good point. Maybe they will take more care with Coco Cay with all the money they are sinking in it. -
Symphony Upgrade - Is it worth it
WAAAYTOOO replied to amathey11's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
$600 seems a little steep to me but we are talking about Symphony. Without the double points I would probably pass. -
You are correct. They do not drive over the bridge. The tours are on the other side of the bridge so you must walk across the bridge and hire the tuk tuk there. We have never done an excursion with the tuk Tuks....we just walk over and hire one. It is such a pleasant walk and the tuk tuks are fun. If there are tuk tuk tours offered through the cruise planner I wasn’t even aware of that ! I’m sure that would be ok too but the tour would probably be different than the one you would get on the other side of the bridge and unquestionably more expensive. We will be in Curaçao in April. Can’t wait !
