  1. To my knowledge, nothing that is included in the 3, 4 or 5 night package is exempt from the UDP. Having said that, however, I do not believe that the "cooking/decorating" classes are included in any dining package. These are considered special "events" and not meals. It is my understanding that the only time these "events" are complimentary are for those in Star Class.
  2. I suppose it’s possible for the UDP to sell out but I haven’t seen that happen before. I’m not sure how it would “look” in the Cruise Planner.
  3. Not sure exactly what you're looking for....but our go-to day at Cayman is to walk to the right, along the ocean, as you're leaving the compound (you will pass the Harley Davidson shop and the Hard Rock on your way)...maybe a 10 minute walk to Paradise. It is a restaurant but there is a dive shop on the property as well. For just a few dollars ($18 I think) they will rent you snorkel gear and allow you the use of the covered pavilion, tables, chairs and access to food for the day (food at the restaurant is a bit $$ but then it is everywhere on GC). The snorkeling just off the property is excellent. Some of the dive/snorkel excursion boats actually come to the exact same location to bring their paying customers !! They have metal stairs down to the water and the snorkeling there is some of the best we've ever done. Dan actually followed a nurse shark around for about 40 minutes. When he got back to the shop and told the workers there that he had seen the shark, they were all excited and ran into the water. They said that was only the second time EVER (and these were locals) than anyone had seen a nurse shark. If you decide to do this, be sure and bring some dry cereal from the Windjammer to feed the fish. The place is SWARMING with tarpon right off the deck. The tarpon are snobs and won't eat the cereal but the little fish love it !
  4. Residence Inn is our regular hotel at Port Canaveral due to the proximity of the Hertz office basically on a shared property. Be aware, however, that recently it has been reported that they are doing construction/renovation at the Residence Inn. I don't know if it is still ongoing.
  5. Very good point. ...and be aware that the luggage handlers at Bayonne are Longshoremen and they can be grumpy. ?
  6. We had Yen last Feb on our Anthem B2B. She is a great Genie but she lacks anticipation. She is extremely literal. Tell her what you want and she will get it for you but there is no spontaneity or anticipation. She is a bit impersonal - particularly at first. I have no idea how she is with kids but I think she might do well. She rode the North Star and bumper cars with us and seemed to have fun.
  7. No. Oasis class ships cannot tender. There are too many pax. If you are going to be at CC with 2 other ships, one of THEM will be tendering, not Oasis.
  8. What we're saying here is....get on any elevator you can, regardless of which direction it is going. Eventually you will get to where you are going even if you have to go up first. If you wait for a "down" elevator, you will find that they are all going to be full. Get on when you can.
  9. Wouldn't it be best just to let that person be a "no show" ? I think doing NOTHING Is the best thing. Just let that person move over into the room where the no-show was supposed to be and get a key from Guest Services.
  10. That is correct. You are either Traditional (fixed time) dining or you are MyTime Dining (anytime). You cannot switch between them.
  11. It depends on what you want to do. You CAN order birthday decorations and cake but I personally don’t think that is worth the money they charge. Let the waiters know on day one that you have a birthday tomorrow and they will bring a little something to celebrate.
  12. Thanks for providing a “good news” story. Usually we only hear about the hiccups.
  13. When you get this information, please pass it on ! I would love to know what can make this time pass more quickly ! If you have the Unlimited Dining Package, be sure to have the Concierge make your dining reservations for embarkation lunch and dinner on the first night.
  14. Welcome neff.angie. Yes, there is PLENTY of food that is 100% complimentary. There is no need to spend a single nickel on food if you don't want to. You will never go hungry.
  15. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-51098129 The Venice canals are very low
  16. Welcome to the blog, Brodie. When you get on board, just head to the dining room and let them know what you want a 4-top and they will make sure you get a good table. Normally, with My Time Dining, unless you specifically request a table with others, you will be given a “private” table. I’m sure you will get a great table for you family.
  17. Likely, the only reserved seats all the way up front would be for Star Class pax that want to sit waaay up front. I prefer to sit further back but some SC pax will want from row center so those seats could be reserved by the Genie. I don’t know where The Key seats are nor the Suites, for that matter, but usually Suites are on the balcony.
  18. Sure, you can bring European converters. Just be sure that your devices are dual voltage. You will burn up your hair dryer using a Euro converter unless the device is rated for 220.
  19. Unfortunately, there do not have to be staterooms available in any category for Royal to send out RoyalUp offers.
  20. Since the opening of Perfect Day, I have been to Coco Cay twice. Both times, we were the only ship there.
