  1. Well, at least it's not a total lock-out of the restaurants now. That would have sucked big time. Glad to see that operations are returning to semi-normal.
  2. Nice to see you on the boards again, Brian. We've missed you !
  3. I have a question...to clarify in my mind. If you are vaccinated then you can present either an antigen or PRC test, right ? If you are unvaccinated it must be a PRC test ?
  4. I have 2 Allure sailings where the UDP has disappeared from the Cruise Planner. I suspect, but do not know, that they are limiting the number of dining plans to correspond with reduced capacity. Luckily, I have already purchased the UDP for both of these sailings.
  5. Honestly, I only answer the questions that have some relevance....like what kinds of drinks I want in my room, etc. I think the esoteric ones are pointless. Yes, I understand that the Genie [might] use the answer to get a feel for your personalities/attitudes but I just think they're silly.
  6. I thought they announced several weeks ago that they were going to start letting the C&A discounts apply universally at full value ?
  7. Does anyone know whether any qualified home test are available at a pharmacy ?
  8. Hey, Michelle - I'm not sure how your clients would feel about this, but my recommendation would be for them to order one of the [qualified] online test kits before leaving home and then complete the test once they get to MIA. I admit that I have not paid enough attention to the names of the tests that are accepted (hopefully someone else can help out) and it's likely to be a bit pricey, but it would be the easiest and most reliable thing for them, IMO. If and when we are required to do any testing this is exactly what I intend to do EVEN THOUGH I most likely can get any PCR or Antigen test here in FL for free. It just takes the stress out of having to find a place to test, make an appointment, get there and hope that the test results are back in time. From what I am reading, the test results are ready in 15 minutes and all of the required paperwork is provided including the doctor (or clinician....whoever that happens to be) verification of the test procedure and everything can be uploaded to the website. It might be pricey. I really don't know...and I really don't care. Best of luck. Hopefully someone will help with providing the name(s) of some of the tests that are being accepted by RCI. Nevermind. I just re-read your email and see that they are leaving tomorrow. Getting the tests in the mail ahead of time isn't an option. DRAT ! Maybe they can go to one of the pharmacies and purchase a qualified home test ? Is that possible ?....someone....
  9. I would not trust this promise at ALL. I have never EVER known of a cruise planner purchase being transferred to another cruise.
  10. Nope. ....but I would LOVE to get one....which is probably why I won't !
  11. Never any charge that I am aware of unless maybe it would be for wine, if wine is consumed. I've never heard of that happening....just saying it might.
  12. This has never really been a guarantee (before or after COVID). There is nothing in the "rules" that allows any non-suite guest (other than Pinnacle members) to invite guests into the SL or CK. Does it ever happen ? Yes....but it is absolutely at the discretion (and always has been) of the CK Managers.
  13. Just got an email to RoyalUp for our 10-10 Allure cruise. We are currently in an Owner's Suite. I bid just a little over the minimum for a 2BR ATS (none are currently showing available). If we were to win the upgrade ($1110), we would actually come out ahead b/c I could cancel our drink package and dining package ($1184). I realize chances are very slim for this one. Even slimmer are our chances of actually going on this cruise since the vax protocols have been unfavorable for us BUT if they do adjust the protocols by Oct (doubtful) and we do win the upgrade (doubtful), woohoo !! We are also on the 10-3 Allure but that one is doomed b/c it is going to St. Thomas and they're not going to let us board at all (unless that also changes, which I don't expect).
  14. I saw that, too. Makes no sense at all. I sure hope that they open the OUTSIDE AT to everyone.
  15. It's true that there aren't any specific activities that are SC-specific, but there are some advantages for kids if they are SC - such as having popcorn delivered to your suite at night while you watch TV or watch the Aqua Theater show. For kids on Q class ships, it's a real treat to be taken to the front of the line for bumper cars. It's too bad that Royal parted company with Dream Works. SC kids used to be able to arrange for a private meet & greet with some of the DW characters. I really do miss the DW experiences. For the older kids, they will get head-of-the-line privileges for the Flow Rider. The younger the kids the less likely that they will even notice a difference but the older ones most likely will.
  16. I completely understand. This is a very confusing process. The reason I asked is b/c I have 3 cruises in Sept. that are going to probably need to be cancelled but I don't think they will do anything until the protocols are announced. At that point, if you are unhappy with the protocols, they have been, in the past, willing to provide a cash refund. That could change.....I hope it doesn't. Good luck !!!
  17. Did they allow you to get a cash refund since your cruise is in Sept. and they have not yet announced Sept. protocols ?
  18. I completely agree with this - as long as everyone boarding must get tested.
