The most important part of that citation seems to be something that was completely glossed over...
Surgical masks are designed to capture bacteria from the wearer’s mouth, and prevent them from spreading to other surfaces (or people). While Wikipedia goes on to delineate between surgical masks and masks used to prevent airborne illnesses (like N95 masks or respirators), we can still use surgical masks to prevent infection through universal use. One of the primary benefits of wearing a surgical mask in the “healthy” is by acting as a physical barrier to your mouth and nose (something humans touch constantly without realizing it).

NCL has done some interesting stuff on new ships to make the casino easier to handle. There’s a separate glassed off area of the casino specifically for smoking.
before that it was terrible. On the breakaway class ships the smoke seems to go everywhere.

There are a lot of first responders out there on the front lines that wear masks.  Let me know when you want to go up to the firehouse with me to tell the firefighters that real men don’t wear masks.

Hi! These are vary valid questions. Unfortunately, the answer cannot be summed up in a meme. If you are really interested in the answer, feel free to review the literature below. These are all peer-reviewed research articles (and some of them are systematic reviews and meta-analysis).
The TLDR: Masks work, but we use 6 ft because not everyone can/will a mask. 6ft work because science has shown social distancing to be the easiest intervention to implement on a grand scale. Social distancing COMBINED with masks substantially decreases the likelihood of spreading the virus. The lockdown is in place because science has shown that to be the BEST method to prevent the pandemic from spreading.

I just made a new booking using the casino discount offer.  As @michelle noticed, it looks like the gratuities for suites has gone up from $17.50 PP/PD to $19 PP/PD.

Not sure if the other stateroom categories has gone up or not.
It looks like there was a 38% discount on the upgrade.  Not great but no worse than last year so that's a relief !!  2 years ago it would have been in the neighborhood of 60%.  UGH

We wear masks going out every day, makes me feel more comfortable. Would like the idea of rapid test when you get off the ship. We are able to quarantine when we get home, though really would rather not. Keep your masks clean or use disposable, no respiratory problems. I´ll listen to Fauci.

Current deal breaker is a cruise that requires international travel before or after the cruise prior to 2022.  I can deal with onboard restrictions and limitations as needed but I want to embark and debark in my own country through 2022 at least.

I am with you @S0nny, there is a cruise out of Baltimore that I am heavily considering getting, 8 days, as long as I have a balcony I would be happy ordering room service and sitting out there and watching the waves roll by.  Just give me access to the gym, and maybe a few shows during that 8 days and I am happy!  The mask is not a deal breaker and would be more than happy to wear it at certain times when it is appropriate, at this point of time even though I am essential personnel and am able to get out, I still need to get away for awhile and recharge my batteries for a bit!

Do you have any facts to back this up?  Fauci said when cleaned properly, masks work as barriers.  How could a clean barrier increase the chance of respiratory illness?
