We got the email for being selected Sunday afternoon.  Awaiting next email for more information.  Think we have been selected for one of two test cruises.  Either Oasis out of NJ or Liberty from Galveston (guessing Liberty since we live in Texas).  My wife enrolled in the Sweepstakes in the first hour of it being open.  We are Diamond Plus, but I believe everyone gets same 12 chances from what i understand.  Hope we were selected for the 4 day test cruise from Galveston.  The other test cruise conflicts with us flying to Seattle for Ovation August 26th.

Congratulations!!! They have started sending the emails for the sailing out of NJ today, they just started mentioning on a group that I'm following and there is a lot of people that just got notified.

Last year Royal tried to change it to where casino comps did NOT receive double points for suites but there was a huge uprising against that decision and they changed it back.  So for now, casino comp upgrades to suites still get double points.  I look for them to try and change it again at some point but for now, all is well....

Thank you, I will keep an eye on that!

Yawn.  It's 0330 and I didn't need my alarm to wake me up for my 0720 flight to Fort Lauderdale this morning.  I'm always gunning to go when a cruise is pending.  Might as well burn off some energy with my first stab at live-blogging a trip.  ?

    Basics

    Ship: Allure
Sailing: 9/29 7 night Eastern Caribbean
    Cabin: L2 Crown Loft (1722)

View from the backyard.  That isn't a sunrise.  It's city lights.

Go to the casino cage and ask for directions on how to get cash. They will give you a slip of paper with instructions. You use your set sail card to do it. You insert it into the slot machine and follow the directions on the paper. You get credits in the slot machine, just hit the cash out button take it to the cage or redemption machine to get your cash. I didn't incur any fees nor did it show up as a cash advance on my card. But when you reach a balance of $500 on your set sail account they will charge your card. This could be from getting cash at the casino of say $300 then a purchase at a gift shop of $200. Your card will be charged the next day at least that's what happened to me.

    Enjoy your cruise!!

    Thank you so much!!!

Your credit card needs to be linked to your onboard account, meaning that's what you set up when you checked in for the cruise.

Then you will sit at a slot machine and insert your SetSail pass.

    step1.thumb.jpg.4b4c1a0bdf47d9c2e52ef2eccf63428f.jpg

    Select ACCOUNT.

    step2.thumb.jpg.7da378e0e9a589f06af04e59b9be1170.jpg

    Then select PERSONAL BANKER.

    step3.thumb.jpg.da8b9189851906cb8f8ea5df669af69a.jpg

You will be asked for your PIN number.  If you haven't set one up then it will default to your birthday as MMDD.

    step4.thumb.jpg.765a365a1c41c5aba2888e7902e857b6.jpg

    You will then select TRANSFERS.

    step5.thumb.jpg.eaa2ca923c0fb8169b2e2f97d50064aa.jpg

    Select ROOM CHARGE.

    step6.thumb.jpg.48e6764e08c824b5ccdce4d54b350dcd.jpg

Then you can select a preset amount or select OTHER and enter in your own dollar amount.

    step7.thumb.jpg.9c5c619dd2720ea9b8f058901c174ed4.jpg

You are asked to confirm the charge.

    step8.thumb.jpg.e91168db7b6709504f4357ebd3f3cefd.jpg

Success!  Added to the slot machine.

    step9.thumb.jpg.0530d2c6cd74bcde79dcd1105bdd7cb6.jpg

From there you hit COLLECT on the machine and it will print out a ticket.

I’ll answer the second one first...the easy one.  If you have the refreshment pkg, it includes unlimited specialty coffee.  The only exception is for Starbucks coffee served at a Starbucks kiosk, which is not included.

The JR milkshake is a little less clear.  Some have reported that you can get JR milkshakes with the refreshment pkg as long as you pay the cover charge. Some have reported that you can get the milkshakes if you have the refreshment pkg withOUT paying the cover charge and some have reported that you could get a milkshake only if you have the deluxe drink pkg.  So the answer is....it spends on the ship and who you ask.

    Thank you so much!!!!:12_slight_smile:

So after thinking about the chaos. Think the side entrance was for people that needed extra time to board not sure because it's not the main entrance.

Side note Coastal kitchen is amazing!!! They bend over backwards for every guest. No request is turned down. First night we really enjoyed our waiter Richard asked to be seated in his section every night we are there. They rotate every night so initially they said they couldn't. Then the manager came over and asked the maitre d what was wrong? Afterwards the manager said no problem they will try. Tonight we are in Richard's section again.

Thanks for the information. Glad to hear everything is going well now. Enjoy your cruise hope you have an amazing time!!!
