MrHaga reacted to twangster in Muster Drill ?!?! Check in Time?!?!
Yes.  You can watch the videos on your cabin TV or on a phone once on board and connected to ship wifi, then visit the muster station.  You can even visit your muster station and have them do a more conventional safety briefing if you don't have a phone.  You can do the whole process on the ship.

One person can check in everyone on the reservation at the same time, much like airline check-ins

In this context, "arrival time" and "boarding time slot" are the same thing. Different posters use different terminology but we're all talking about when you can board the ship.

They would say "24 hours" if it was time sensitive within that day.

Calendar day, not measured in hours

I totally agree with @BesaidCruiser that you don't need an excursion in Marseille. It's a very easy port to DIY.
Here's the link to a post I made in response to a similar question nearly 2 years ago now (where did the time go?!). Obviously some parts might be slightly out of date by now, but it will give you a starting point for your research. Hope it helps.

Thanks for all the advice.  As a newbie to cruising, I booked everything on my own, so new to any of the processes.  May take my chances and show up early and if I have to sit in the hot sun a couple hours, I guess I get a head start on my Tan:)

You select your arrival time when you complete the check in process online or in the app. You can check in about 45 days before your cruise - check your sailing in the app for the exact date you can complete the process.

On cruises 7 days in duration or more is RCL Covid testing all children under 12 years of age during the cruise or is it done randomly.  They say they are doing these subsequent tests at their web site but don’t provide much detail so I am looking for folks actual experiences.  Thanks.

    Days not hours.
Not sure how time zones play into equation.
I will be calling closer to my sailing to verify.
The proctored online test gets a time stamp that show Universal time, which is, or is close to, the actual time in Spain.
I will report back here what I find out next month.

MrHaga reacted to AspiringCruisePlanner in Push back final payment?
The last pushback was for the June cruises for 60 days instead of 30.  I think that's a good indicator that the July and beyond cruises would stay at the 90 day threshold.  I hope I'm wrong about this though.

    Hey
Any chance that this week me may expect a push back of final payment for July and August 2022 sailings?
Like they have done for the other months of 2022....

    Thanks for your reply.
In my case i hope they do not have stricter Vaccine Requirements than they did 19th Dec. 2021. The goverment in Norway does not clearly recommend 12 Years olds taking the second vaccine dose, so we will not get him to take that just so we can go on a vacation.
Hopefully they will release those protocols soon, since final payment day is comming up.

Here in the states Royal frequently waited until under 30 days to announce the next wave of protocols.  They hope to sail with minimal restrictions so if they announce too soon they have to announce more restrictive protocols which could lead to cancellations.  At the same time protocols for the most part are derived from the respective governments.  That includes the home port government and any countries visited that might differ.  Trying to get all the governments together and arrive at a policy is like herding cats.

Very difficult to predict here in Spain when we thought new normality was back, Omicron arrived and all mask restrictions came back, but hopefully soon all will drop, but who knows 🙄

TBH I would never Royal Up for a suite unless I was already in a Junior Suite. But that’s because the double points are still important to me ?

I can't speak to your first question, but as to the second, the ship's photographers will make a print of any pictures they take of you as they will ask your room number. On your SeaPass card, they will tell you the slot where you can find your photos at the photo shop aboard. The prints will be there and you work with the staff as to which ever ones you're purchasing. The link to your digital pictures will be sent after your sailing.

Less than it would cost to simply pay for an upgrade conventionally.   How much less?  That depends.
