Of course prices vary per ship and sailing, but I was able to reprice our soda packages down to $8.99 a day from the previous $9.99 a day!

How many Insider subs would it take to make a down payment. Perpetual group cruise?!

This is frankly how Costco can afford to give the huge rebates. I don't know why they don't participate in RoyalUp but the rebating is purely about volume.

First congrats, Adventure is an awesome ship. We sailed her a few summers ago. LOVE that class of ship. Second you can roll on your luggage, it just might be a pain with 4 bags. Have a great time and you don't have to stick exactly to that time you have booked if you want to board a bit early. Rooms will be ready by 1PM. Sometimes its earlier but still close to 1PM. 

Initially only Interiors were in our budget, but we were really hoping to Royal Up. Made close to minimum bids on everything that was available and won the bid for an Infinite Balcony almost immediately. Not *super* thrilled about the concept compared to traditional balcony, but it will certainly beat an interior. Also somewhat interested just to try it. We'll see how it is in just 3 short weeks! 🎉

I'm one of the few that would LOVE these rooms. #1 I'm not a fan of heights so kinda being in the room just with a very large window that opens would be better than a balcony. #2 we barely use the balcony now anyway. I love this idea in general.

First time RC cruiser here! Our check in time for embarkment day at Port Canaveral is 2:00-2:30 pm. From what I’m reading, it seems staterooms should be ready by then (sources say 1-2 pm). If this is the case, I’m considering not checking in our bags and just taking them with us on board and going straight to the room. I have anxiety about lost luggage, even though I know this is rare. 
It will be 4 rolling bags between my husband, 10 y.o. child, and myself.
Sailing on Adventure of the Seas if that matters!

MDR Food was exceptionally good night one. Beef quality has improved. No tough as nails steak. 
Aqua show was awesome. 
Aqua dome at night. Nice place to just sit and relax. Very Star Trek / Star Ship kinda feel.

Oh, one more major plus. Natural light from windows behind Pearl Cafe opens up the promenade. Not everything faces inward anymore. 

Never been asked to show Fire medic ID

I've received many military discounts over the years.  I don't recall having to show my ID card. 
 
Right before final payment I got a several hundred dollar military discount on two rooms on July 1st sailing of Allure.  It is a real discount and it is out there.  Just keep checking and repricing.

Grats included makes a big difference for sure.
My example was a good deal on paper if you wanted to eat at the more expensive restaurants. I looked at it just for the heck of it.  It just doesn't fit our personal preferences.
Part of me wishes we actually spent more on CP items, lol. I see what I know is a good deal... but on stuff we don't want.

We get it if it makes sense which depends on the ship. Liberty with only a few restaurants, no. On Oasis it made a lot of sense. Interesting they have the gratuities baked in there though, I like that better..

I don't ever buy either but I think they started adding the "gratuities included" to the dining packages fairly recently.
I know I saw people discussing that there was a pretty good deal on some sailings during the last CP sale. The 3N package for my upcoming Wonder cruise was $130-something (grats included).

That's the whole compromise in making it refundable. You pay more.

Yep, sometimes that's how it works. That's why you must pay close attention to what you're paying for. 

Royal only added the arrival slots post-covid, when you had to show your vax card & negative test, making check-in at the port take a little longer. They just never got rid of them. You used to show up whenever you wanted & the start of boarding went by status (suites, C&A level, etc.)

As a D+ member, you should be aware of the whole" book at a price you are comfortable with" mantra of Royal. The only time the UDP becomes cheap is BF and even then, that is not a guarantee. I have been on Mariner this year and honestly, I wouldn't do the UDP as there aren't enough specialty restaurants to make it worth it. 

I'm just leaving the hotel or still driving at 11am, I don't wanna me on the ship at 11am.  But I did just learn something about my upcoming Princess cruise- they have no check in times. You fill everything out on the app ahead of time, whenever you want- I'm already all "sail ready" and I don't cruise for over 3 months still. Then, you just show up- as long as it's within the boarding window, say 11am- 3pm, you are good to go. Which I wouldn't be surprised if RC does eventually since so many people already ignore the assigned times.

We NEVER stopped walking. No waiting at all. Passed thousands of people.
You MUST upload a photo when you do online check in. We also scanned passports. Yesterday, after answering health question, we got confetti and and our set sail passes turned purple. Congratulations you have express pass to board. The days of wait till at dock to have them take your photo are over. It puts you in an entirely different category. We literally passed 1hr 30min of people and walked right on. 

OP said "a few months ago" so too late to transfer. Plus those corporate discounts tend to be big box stuff and not a TA you'd want to rely on for any help.
