So in this scenario a family of 4 getting off Wonder takes a Uber from terminal 1 waiting for an XL vehicle to pick them under the parking deck. Loading all the bags riding to the new Brightline stop near the Walmart super center in Cocoa, cost $35.00 (no surge)plus tip. Unload vehicle and wheel your bags over to the station to purchase {or pre purchase) Brightline tickets to MCO, guesstimate $40 (no surge)per person ($160) stand and wait for train (tik tok) if its on time and space available you would then ride to the Brightline terminal at MCO. The train terminal is back adjacent to the new terminal C. Grab all your bags and make your way onto another small 2 car tram that runs from the Brightline station over to the main A/B terminal. Then possibly walk to the opposite end of the A/B terminal to your airline counter to check your bags.
Total cost: $195 (no surge)plus tip
Aggravation: hard to measure but seems HIGH!
My scenario: Order a Uber XL or private transportation from the terminal, load your bags and have a 50 minute drive to MCO. Preferred drop off at the curb in front of the airline counter your flying on. Check your bags, go through security and get a drink.
    Total cost: $110 - $130 (no surge)plus tip
    Aggravation: minimal

Yes I provide private transportation at the port and drive for Uber/Lyft. But as a cruiser and traveler I always try to make my vacations as stress free as possible. 🤷‍♂️

Your Uber app will choose your location for you, just type in the address you need to go to. Everyone gets picked up under the parking deck at terminal #1 and there will be plenty of cars there since its a Port of call on a Tuesday.

As a rideshare driver my advice is to leave the ship early while there is plenty of drivers in that port area. Usually as the morning progresses drivers become less and less and that's what causes surges at any port, airport, stadium. At Port Canaveral the surge usually happens around 9:15 -9:30 if you see the prices surge just close your app for 10 min or so and then recheck prices.

Haha, you received the infamous note. It must be effective crowd control because they continue to use it. If there’s ever a time to defy the rules or bend them a bit, it’s for the good of a family vacation. Hit “delete” and continue to the destination.

Reality = 99.99999% chance you can board early.
What RC/ Others will tell you = “you might get turned away” or “you should have picked your boarding time as soon as it was available”. You might even get the email from RC the night before with the same message “don’t come early”! The email in my experience is bogus and the gate agents are either clueless, confused by the chaos or don’t care.

I first have to give a major shout out to lkg276.  As shown above he has a service out of Port Canaveral and he picked us up and get us to the airport in plenty of time and NO he was not speeding, he was driving the Florida speed limit of 75 😀.  Our flight out of MCO was at 9:35am on Southwest going back to Dallas and in the middle of the week I reached out to lkg276 for a ride to the airport for my family.  He responded quickly and we coordinated pick-up times accordingly.  There were four of us with six, yes six suitcases total and his automobile was plenty of room.  We self-disembarked and were off the ship by 6:55AM and in his Tahoe on the way to the airport by 7:01 and at the airport by 7:45. Disembarkation was the easiest and seamless in all my years of cruising.  An absolutely FANTASTIC experience partnering with lkg276.

This reason is why we started using private transportation for embarkation instead of a shuttle. Not *that* much more expensive and you are on your own schedule without delays. I'm pretty patient, but not when its keeping me from boarding 🤣

That is probably best.  I'm not sure about all the ships, but I was on Wonder last month.  On the big screen TV at the main pool a "friendly reminder" aired about every 10 minutes to not be a chair hog.  It said any unattended items left on chairs would be removed by staff and could be picked up at the towel station.  It was being enforced.  Crew were putting those cards down (like the one shown above from
Celebrity) and were removing people's belongings.

Here is how I like to add some spice to a lazy sea day:

Go down to the pool and take a random chair hog’s towel clips, crappy book, and grimy flip flops and switch it with another random chair hog on the opposite side of the pool. Leaving the towels cause they are all the same. I’ve found you just need to shuffle an arbitrary 5-6 of them and it takes less than two minutes to do. Oh! You see an odd number of reserved chairs like three? Make sure you do it to the one in the middle!
Then I like to grab a big cappuccino and go up to the Viking Crown. The Viking Crown offers the perfect vantage point for watching the unsuspecting chair hogs as I giggle like a school girl. 😀
