Oh my word! Checking and double checking our back packs, they do in fact accompany us to the range on occasion. So sad for this man, what an unfortunate and horrible mistake. I'm glad the particulars were shared, just wow!!

Adding my 🫨. Holy crud. That's really unfortunate. Pretty sure we only use our range bag for the range but now I'll be paranoid and extra cautious. I've accidentally brought aboard airplane bottles of liquor that they gave me on the plane and i kept in my bag and didn't think about. Or heaven forbid the time i forgot i had some gummies in my bag that were never caught (thank God). You often forget that what's perfectly legal and normal in your every day life doesn't translate when you travel.

Anyone still having issues, specifically with dining, in Android app? Last cruise (September), we could see the CK menu by day on the app. Now i hit Dining, and i get a flash of "we're working on finishing touches" and then it goes right back to where i was. If i avoid the app and login on the website instead, i can't find CK menus.
Just me?

Those are some big shoes to fill! I'm afraid, I'm neither as funny nor as witty as some of the OGs here. What I will say is (I think it was @SweetPeathat coined this) you might get a few cases of BUTI (Blogging under the Influence) on this trip
Ha! I call it PUI (posting under the influence!).
When this happens, i inevitably hope for the best and post a clarification later.
Godspeed! Looking forward to this one!

Thanks for your assessment of Hideaway. I watched a YouTube video of it and the creators' opinion was that Oasis Lagoon was not as happening now that Hideaway was open and took over that vibe. I guess we'll see as we don't have any plans to go back to PDCC after this cruise so we're going to try it.
And I'll get out my rosary beads again. Either that or you stopped wearing your red underwear?

when we booked this initially, it wasn't a crazy price difference for an OS... right before final payment when one opened up again, it was more than double what they paid for their GS so they passed. And someone actually scooped it up!
Crazy how this happens! Not so much that the price increased but that people are willing to pay it! Our Odyssey cruise, we booked a GLS and got the last one on opening day. Recently one opened up at more than double the price we paid, and yup, it didn't last long. Someone scooped it right up.

Omg...some of these tangents from live blogs lol...first Batman and underwear math, now lucky red undies
When the day comes and we finally meet in person, Batman will proudly tell you how he managed that week (at least he did in the Haven)! He, of course, still has no idea i announced it to the readership here though.

I have mostly done Royal Caribbean but I have also done some Celebrity and Princess as well as one each of Holland America, NCL, and Carnival (we don't talk about those, there is a reason it was one each).
This made me . We were one and done with Royal for a full 11 years because our first cruise with them was THAT bad. We then booked Norwegian since it was a new ship sailing out of our backyard, and hubby's response was "why not? It can't be as bad as Royal!" Anyway, after all this time, we now love both Norwegian & Royal. However, we are with you on Holland. We will not sail them again, and my SIL works for Carnival and even she won't sail them.
You also resonated with me in that i sense your dad married into a Jewish family, which is a theme in my family. Two men in my family have married Jewish women, and some of their kids are now very interested in their Jewish heritage, and even I'm having fun exploring that with them, even though i can't offer much except, "you're 11 nearly 12, and it would have to be a major cram to get Bar Mitzvah'd since you've never picked up a Torah and don't speak a single word of Hebrew. You cannot have a Bar Mitzvah just for the party."
Anyway, you have a great itinerary and i love Odyssey reports. Looking forward to yours!

I think i need to be on @Matt's cruise for that crazy price for the OTW cabana .
Thanks for the comparison on Celebrity @Rackham. I wish the Hideaway Cabanas were that price for our cruise. Ours were $2299 and sold out. Then 1 popped open at the same price and i was having FOMO and booked the last one before i retire and am poor . Then one more popped open and they're at $2549 now so I'm not unhappy. We'd done the OTW cabana once and decided to try a new experience this time since our helpful server pointed out a bunch of jelly fish when we were in the water.

Actually, I give the credit for my good-ish casino luck to my red underwear. I have a friend who told me that if you wear red underwear you will win. Go figure…but the chants and prayers are appreciated ! They can’t hurt, right ?
Dare i say ... I'm glad you remembered to pack your undies!!!

I've never had it in the UK but I like fish n chips.
OMG, i wish i could remember the name of the place we went. We hired a private driver for the day to pick us up in Southampton, and we told him we HAD to try fish and chips. He took us to his favorite and ordered for us. Yum! Huge pieces of fish that were perfectly breaded, yet light. Though i could easily eat Fish & Chips in Maine too and be just as happy!

Maybe when I come back in less than 2 weeks...I'm just a creature of habit when I'm solo. If I ever came back and wasn't alone I would probably rent a golf cart and explore.
I was going to say, I've been to T&C just a few times and there really isn't much there. We usually get a perfect Margherita and just listen to the pool party @ Margaritaville or go to the beach. They do have some cute shops there, and i got one of my favorite little purses there about 20 years, but that's about it!
