  1. Same thing happened to me a couple of months ago, I randomly lucked into a two-device S&S package for about half the regular going rate. I have re-checked the order like 4 times just to be certain I didn't screw up! ? Pays to stalk the Cruise Planner, for sure!
  2. Not at all, I wouldn't think. Hidden Beach is much closer to Cozumel.
  3. Same as Travel Agent rates, but for employees of airlines, hotels, cruises, etc.
  4. It's probably because you told us all here about the great deal and we are all desperately checking on things -- slows the whole system down! Haha!
  5. No, "Travel Agent Rates" are the reduced rate trips that travel industry people can often get. Also known and Fam trips (familiarization). They are provided so that travel agents can speak about various lines and itineraries with first hand knowledge.
  6. I have had it take 24 hours for a new reservation to show up online. I know, super annoying when you're excited!! ?
  7. The cashier will give you the token and point out the specific machine you can use. I usually win a key chain or some such ?
  8. Here's an old thread with samples of the offers at various levels. They used to give you actual coupon hard copies in your room, now they're electronic. They change from time to time and/or ship to ship, but you get the idea!
  9. Please do! I'm interested in seeing one as well!
  10. Yes, you will still need to purchase internet. That is a perk only on the ships that have Royal Suite Class -- Allure, Harmony, Oasis, Symphony, Anthem, and Ovation.
  11. It has to do with the differences in law. I'm sure Royal would rather have just one policy. Maybe then their customer service reps could keep it all straight! ? But they have to accommodate the various quirks in all the countries.
  12. You did pretty well for a balcony cabin. The rock bottom prices that I see (except for trans-Atlantics and a few one-offs) tend to be just under $100USD/pp/pd (often for an inside cabin, though). So if you see that kind of rate, know that it's unlikely to be better. Personally, I use NextCruise onboard as much as I can, because the rates are good with the discount and you also get some onboard credit to help with expenses. Also, a travel agent can help a lot -- give them your available times and let them do the constant searching for a deal!
  13. Are you saying the 2K/pp was just for the cruise part, or for the whole two weeks? Because if it was for the whole time I'd say that's a pretty good deal. 14 days vacation that works out to just under 150/pp/pd. If it was just for the cruise, then I would recommend really looking at whether you got value from the drink package, since that would have been your single largest expense outside of the cruise fare itself. Also, try to book as far in advance as possible, in a shoulder season like October. That will usually bring the cruise fare down. Hope that helps!
  14. Yup. Happens regularly as demand fluctuates. That's why some of us check obsessively!
  15. Welcome to the boards! You’re going to get tons of suggestions! ? To help us steer you in the right direction, give us a little more about your style — are you looking for laid back or adventurous? Do you have a passport or would you rather travel on a birth certificate the first time? How long a vacation are you looking for? What part of Florida is better,or does it matter?
  16. Only if he’s not already booked on it too ?
  17. Sadly no, you can't bring any more on after your initial batch on boarding.
  18. Try navigating to a web page (like Google or something). It should redirect you to the sign up screen. Good luck!
  19. Welcome to the Blog! This is a fan site, not an official Royal Caribbean page, so unfortunately we know only what has been released so far. I suggest you try calling Royal directly.
  20. Welcome to the Blog! We've cruised quite a bit in the Asia region in the past 6 years. Specifically out of Singapore, there was very little difference, past the superficial, to the "regular" Royal experience. Off the top of my head, you'll see signage in Chinese around the ship, but always also in English. A larger percentage of the staff will be Chinese, but they will all still speak English. There will be regional food offerings in the MDR and Windjammer (yum!) but also classic western dishes. As for the passengers, there will to be lots of Asians, of course (just like cruises out of Miami have tons of Floridians! ? ). There will be a lot of extended families/large groups, as cruises are marketed for reunion-style vacationing in the region. Likely the only thing that may feel odd (if you're American/Australian particularly) is the whole personal space thing. We're used to in now, living over here, but initially it felt uncomfortable to me to have people standing right next to me all the time. Once you realize that it is totally normal and not at all rude or personal, you don't even notice it anymore. For example, in a crowded elevator -- in America, we avoid cramming what we consider too many people in an elevator, and as soon as one person leaves, everyone else spreads out to put as much distance as possible between everyone. This is "normal" for us. In much of Asia, as people leave the elevator no one moves. This is because "normal" is to get in and stand in your spot, staying still until it is time to go. Less jostling that way. Just a different perspective. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have, but you're going to love your cruise so don't worry!
  21. Here you go! https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/pregnant-health-safety-onboard-policy
  22. I would not count on this at all. I think it was possible for a while during beta testing of the old app, but no longer.
