  1. Welcome to the boards! Start here for drink package info: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/royal-caribbean-beverage-package-costs-info-tips Complimentary beverages include iced tea, coffee, hot tea, lemonade, apple juice, orange juice, and tap water.
  2. Snorkel gear is not included. There are two mats in the cabana, but you can get more (free) if you need them.
  3. Then definitely look in Georgetown. Quick bus (don't discount the buses, they're great there!) or metro to the Mall, but interesting stuff, particularly food, in its own right.
  4. Seven Fathoms! <drool!>
  5. Ha! I've been researching a ton about DC this month, in preparation for our upcoming move in August Are you interested in hitting all the Must Dos and not having to taxi/uber anywhere? It might be worth it to just stay right downtown. More expensive, but you'll save travel money and time. There's a Hyatt Place that's a bit less expensive than some. Georgetown is my favorite neighborhood, personally, and close to the National Mall, etc. If you're looking into AirBnBs this would be the neighborhood for sure. Chinatown is another convenient spot, and it has a lot going on all on its own. Foggy Bottom and Dupont Circle neighborhoods are overrated, IMHO.
  6. I would think that would be fine.
  7. Surf & Stream
  8. We started doing half and half -- send the larger bag out the night before and keep the smaller one with us.
  9. I'm guessing @coneyravenwould be your best resource for questions about Grandeur!
  10. Welcome to the boards! Are you talking about the one in May? It would be nice intro to Royal, I suspect. But be prepared for chilly weather — that’s very early in the Alaska season.
  11. Yes, best to order them sooner rather than later. No appointment needed, just log in. It has never taken me more than 90 seconds to connect to a proctor.
  12. The upcoming Ultimate World Cruise will include Alexandria and the Great Pyramid.
  13. NAAT is actually a PCR test. It is acceptable for sailing.
  14. Fill out the form on the homepage of this blog and someone from MEI will reach out to you.
  15. Actually best if you don’t move the device you’re using. The test items must remain in the camera view at all times after you open the box. Just prop your phone up against something that allows for access to the back camera as well as the front.
  16. This is very true, although we got single packs of Lays potato chips from room service two weeks ago on Enchanment. Hadn't seen that before.
  17. Welcome to the boards! Since stock changes on the ships with some regularity, I will often ask the bartender to make it with his/her favorite alcohol for that particular drink. They seem to enjoy the interaction.
  18. Welcome to the boards! I can’t remember off hand, but I think the email address is your account login, so you will need separate emails. I could be misremembering though… You do not have to use the app, but you do need both an eMed and Navica account. It is easy to use a phone. Just prop it up so both the back and front camera can be accessed and there is enough visible space on the table in front of you.
  19. Each adult needs their own account. The “adding” bit is for kids only.
  20. Don’t feel bad. Took me a while to wrap my brain around it!
  21. You don’t need the app, but you do need a Navica account in addition to eMed.
  22. BioCollections is a fantastic lab very near the airport (10 min cab ride). $75 per pcr test, I think.
  23. The train was super easy and not very expensive (maybe $15 per person?). However, if you're stopping in Rome just for a port stop, I'd recommend just using the Royal transportation excursion. That way you're more assured of returning to the ship on time. The city is actually quite a ways from the port, so the train takes more than an hour one way.
  24. If you're talking about vaccinated travelers, currently the protocol is two days prior so it will need to be Saturday at the earliest.
