Welcome to a very non-exclusive club of cruise addicts and their indifferent spouses!
She has no problem with the going part LOL. She's always up for a trip somewhere. She just doesn't like the part about booking now for a cruise 54 weeks from now as she says something might come up. But it didn't take much convincing

Yeah, this.
10 more years to minimum retirement age. Would like to do it that early on, but I think it's more likely I'll end up having to work to the usual 65 (or whatever the modified age is where I can also start withdrawing Social Security). In the meantime, I'm getting by with 1 cruise a year (but doing to my best to make each one as memorable as possible via itinerary).
Getting close myself 8 years (would love to be able to retire at 62) but will have to go to 65 so I can get on medicare. Plan is to take at least 1 cruise per year with maybe 2 occasionally.

Terrible & sad

Well I went from not cruising for 8 years Jan 2011 to booking a cruise in Dec for Jan 2019. Than I put a deposit down on 1/9 for a cruise in Aug 2019 & today I put a deposit down for one in Feb 2020. My wife asked was I getting carried away all of the sudden LOL but she didn't say no.
Upcoming cruises
Allure 1/27/2019
Ovation 8/9/2019
Adventure 2/1/2020
Guess I'll just work on planning excursions ect.. for the last 2 & hold off booking anything else for now. Thanks to Michelle - MEI Travel.

Quote from twangster (Oh to be a 4 hour drive to a cruise port. Sounds heavenly.)
Guess you better move to Florida LOL In reality unless you do live there (unless you're like my friend who drives 13-14 hrs every year for his cruise - I pass) it involves the added cost of flying. I've done the shorter cruises but for me if I'm going to fly I'd at least have to do a 5 day or longer cruise.

Thanks for the live blog & all the pictures

Just wondering if anyone here will be on this cruise as well. First time for me as well as first cruise in some time. Got so excited planning it, I've scheduled 2 more. LOL

I also remember being in the casino and one of the dealers keep coughing and looked sick. I hurried up and got out of there.
Maybe RC determined it was crew related & that's why they refunded the cruise

On Allure you'll get the actual cards once you'll have access to your stateroom (around 1:00 PM). Cards will have a code of your package (DX for Deluxe Drinking Package) printed on them.
Until then you can use your package by showing printed or digital SetSail Pass to bartender. Same abbreviation should be displayed on your SetSail Pass. If you printed them before buying package I would suggest to reprint them
Thanks I see the DX on my printed seapass

From reading somewhere I assume you just show your seapass card to get your beverage? When do you get your seapass card after you board the ship?
-
I just did all my spreadsheet figuring to see if I thought I would hit the $42 per day based on the prices I've seen posted here before I pulled the trigger & purchased. Since I figured I would I bought & now I don't have to think about it on the ship & I can just go & enjoy being on vacation! 17 days to go
