When we retire we plan to build as well (again). As much as we'd love to be able to cruise frequently year round without flying, neither of us would survive Florida. We'll just have to take a lot of Alaskan cruises and ride the ferries a lot!

Poppycock. Plenty of us are interested! I'm so happy you found what/where you were looking for!!! The seller's market for houses here in the Twin Cities is insane too. One of my coworkers sold his house in under two hours and then couldn't find anything to buy! Everything they wanted to go look at was sold within hours (literally hours) of it hitting the real estate site. The ended up getting wind of someone who was considering selling but hadn't listed it yet, so they got in to see it before they put it on the market and made an offer. It's unreal!

Here is a screenshot of the price of a regular 7 night NB Alaskan sailing, plus 3 options of adding a cruisetour to the same sailing. (The top one is showing a price for June 18, but the June 4th sailing, which all of the rest show, is only $20 more). These are all Radiance sailings on June 4, 2020 - so you can expect approx $600-900 added to the cost of an inside cabin for 2 passengers.

On Oasis class ships the UDP covers drinks up to $13. We never had to pay extra for anything we ordered on Symphony.

I'm not looking at the cheapest seats. I want the ones just under what they consider first class (because the first class tickets are over $4k each, and that's way above my budget), but I can't tell on Air2Sea which classes they are actually considering. Oh well, the cruise will probably be canceled anyway.

And Delta, since nothing else flies out of Mpls other than Sun Country with any usefulness.

The price difference between Air2Sea and Delta don't bother me nearly as much as not knowing what class of seats I'm buying. There are 4 types of seats on the Delta site, but only 3 listed on the same flights on Air2Sea. That's a problem.

The issue I'm having is that when I check flights on Delta and then check on Air2Sea, they don't have the same cabin categories listed, so it's difficult to know if I'm looking at what I want (I suppose I can guess by price). The price is consistently higher on Air2Sea.

The percentages are pretty useless. Just look at the actual price.

They don't care about that, either. I had 2 booked on exactly the same days for a while.

Unfortunately not. The Passenger Vessel Service Act requires that a foreign-flagged vessel stop at a foreign port. The only way to do this is to sail on an American vessel.

I'd wait 3 weeks to make the decision.

My itineraries from my Empress ----> Odyssey sailings were Eastern Caribbean to Southern Caribbean (both 8 night). So maybe "Caribbean" is close enough.

Unless we've booked through NextCruise or some promotion, we've always paid $250 per person in deposits.

Friends of mine in Canada have posted photos of vandalized cars when they have plates that are not from that particular province as well. Just something to be aware of.

She can go online to her account - there's a link for " View MyCruise Points on the main account page. The you have an option to "Redeem Cruise Points".

Have you ever used your points for anything other than OBC?
