Slots, 1 point for every $5 of play. For video poker it is 1 point for every $10 of play.
Tables, bust out the Ouija board for an answer.
Haha! This made me laugh!

We left from Sydney, AUS a few days ago. I don’t see the ability to load my account using room charge on any slot machines. Is it a specific one?
Go to guest services and tell them your card is not working in the Casino.

@CHRIS WONG is the room charge option for funding your account (from slot machine) disabled on international itineraries?
What do you mean by international itinerary?

@CHRIS WONG are casino host able to offer some sort of comps or anything to guess? For example here the casino host gives me free hotel stays, food, concert tickets, special events tickets etc.
On cruise ships we don't do things like this. The main thing we do is reward players with discounts and future free cruises.

So I got my flights confirmed. Orlando to Miami on the 18th, 2 nights in a hotel, and the joining Oasis on the 20th.
Not long to go now!

@CHRIS WONG when is the OASIS OF THE SEAS out of dock?
According to my schedule, Oasis is due to arrive in Fort Lauderdale on the 19th and will be docked for a few days before relocating to Miami.

@CHRIS WONG do you or family members get discounted rates for cruises? Do you get discounted airfare or hotel rates?
As far as I'm aware, I do get a discount if I book a cruise for myself and family. I've never actually done this so I'm not sure what my discount is.
When I'm joining a ship for a contract, my flights and hotels are payed for.

I'm scheduled to join on the 20th. Hopefully I'll have time to do tour of the ship before the first cruise starts.

I'm one of the lucky few that never gets sick, even in the roughest of seas. I always assumed crew members had lead stomachs, guess not LOL.
On the topic, how does sick time work on a ship? I'd assume you're encouraged to tough it out, but what if you're that bad?
I actually don't know the answer to this, because I've never taken a sick-day in the 5 contracts I've done.
As far as I'm aware, if we take a sick day, we get payed less for that day. When I was working in the shops, we would lose that days pay completely.

Chris, I just wanted to know if the sea sickness pills from the medical center is free for guests also?
Well the tablets are usually in a box next to the entrance of the medical facility, so yes, I guess the guests can take it as well.

As far as you know the ship is still on schedule to sail out of Miami 24 Nov ?
Yes, I believe this is correct.
I'm leaving Mariner on the 18th, staying in a hotel for 1 night in Miami, and then joining the ship in Fort Lauderdale on the 19th.
-
So slight change of plan.
Instead of flying to Spain, to join Oasis for the crossing, I'll be joining the ship now once it arrives in Fort Lauderdale.
So, I'll be flying to Miami now from Orlando in 2 weeks. And I'll have 1 night in a hotel, to relax before joining the ship. I much prefer this!

Curious , for your next job as Casino host , is it just on the job training or there is some land base cruise you need to take or some online training ?
All my training was done on the ship. Same with my position when is was in the shops.
When I was in the art gallery, there was 2 weeks training in Miami before joining the ship

I'm enjoying your vlogs, I've always been curious about life as an employee.
I'm not sure if this has been asked yet, but what do you do between contracts? Do you work another job to pay the bills? Along the same line, is there a required wait period between the end of one contract and the start of a new one?
I am usually home between 6-8 weeks in between contracts. Believe it or not, I enjoy travelling when I'm on my vacation period. I'm a huge Disney fan, and love spending time in Orlando. My last vacation period, I went travelling across the West Coast. Saw places like LA, San Fran, Yosemite, Joshua Tree - and also went to Vegas, the Grand Canyon.....just to name a few.
I also love having my time to rest and spend with family.
