  1. Dear Valued Guest, We are writing to provide you an update to the itinerary for your XXX of the Seas cruise to Alaska. Your departure port has changed from Vancouver to Galveston and the cruise will now make stops at the ports of Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatan. Sincerely, Aurora Yera-Rodriguez
  2. Perhaps you can arrange to have been outside of restricted countries for more than 15 days prior to embarkation?
  3. Unfortunately, the CDC website doesn't have a definition of what qualifies as a "chronic lung disease," let alone anything that makes it clear what is "severe."
  4. We got the email on Tuesday - 30 fewer minutes at King's Wharf on our May 9 sailing. Given that folks on an itinerary that doesn't include Bermuda got the same notification, it would seem to be Grandeur-related.
  5. Failing to take steps to reconnect with the accidental disconnect is, in fact, poor customer service. They have access to the number from which you are calling. They have access to your contact information from the reservation they just confirmed. Failing to correct their error is inexcusable, even during a cluster****.
  6. You'll want to cancel on the 7th if you decide to not go. The deadlines for cancellation are 48 hours before THE DAY OF TRAVEL - that's midnight Thursday for your Sunday afternoon departure.
  7. Unless the JS available to you is also aft-facing, the answer is easy, IMO. Keep what you've got.
  8. Many future cruises are now MORE expensive than they were a short time ago.
  9. If Grandeur departs Baltimore on May 9 - #stillgoing
  10. Notice that the line is refunding all direct expenses AND giving a 100% future cruise credit. This is why anyone considering a self-cancellation should wait until the latest possible date to pull the trigger. Royal Caribbean may not institute the same level of remuneration, but cancellations by the company may lead to better cost recovery.
  11. Which is EXACTLY why quarantining everyone onboard by keeping them onboard is the WORST possible reaction - everyone stays in CLOSER proximity to the virus for a longer period of time.
  12. Many physicians groups charge a fee to process such a document not associated with a paid visit. Will RCI reimburse for that cost if the letter isn't needed? DOUBT IT. And what is considered a "normal" pulse-ox for those without chronic respiratory conditions? How low is "too low" in the normal screening? Has THAT ever been published?
  13. Are they implying that signing up is now required for the table game lessons? Every cruise to date has been "here's what time we have the gaming lessons - show up if you're interested."
  14. I've never kept any old SeaPass cards - that one I might just hang onto!
  15. On the other hand, Whovians will tell you not to blink if you spot a Weeping Angel.
  16. Drive and use your own car with parking fees. Gives you much more flexibility after the cruise returns.
  17. Only if the refurb on Freedom moved the Suite Lounge - last summer it was an interior space.
  18. The primary benefit is access to the Concierge. The extra benefits of the Suite Lounge itself are minimal for Diamond members as it's an interior room with no view.
  19. I'd sign up for that cruise! Sea days are great and there's no added cost for port fees and taxes if you're at sea.
