There will be no outlets in the bathroom. They will be located by the desk area as seems to be the standard for ships.

MaryCS62 got a reaction from OCSC Mike in HELLLLLLLP with UDP reservations
Yeah, that's what I'm planning - but we're only a party of 3, and we may not all want to eat every meal - for example, I signed up for izumi sushi lunch, but pretty sure DH won't be joining me & DD - but then he might not have lunch at all that day.

MaryCS62 got a reaction from BrianB in Cococay Beach Club Cabana Accessibility
coco cay has pavements all over the place - it's very easy to get around for wheelchairs and scooters - the only issue would be the beach itself, and I don't know where the cabanas are located precisely. I have a scooter, and plan to get to the beach club early enough to claim a lounger by the pool, and not on the beach itself. I've seen youtube videos of the beach club, but don't remember the cabanas.

MaryCS62 got a reaction from RCIfan1912 in Windjammer best times?
unless i'm in the mood for a hot breakfast, on Oasis, Park Cafe is my go to for my coffee and some mix of bagel, fruit, muesli (I have an inordinate fondness for that stuff!).
I then find a spot in Central park and enjoy the quiet. If i go to Windjammer, it's to grab some of the fruit/nut bread (another guilty pleasure) and bring that somewhere else to eat.

MaryCS62 got a reaction from USFFrank in Wind Jammer - Dining While on Loud Speaker
I have the same problem at work - in the shared lunch lounge, people have no problem having loud conversations while someone else is trying to have a quiet break. I listen to audiobooks (with earbuds!) while I eat, and sometimes have to turn my volume up to block them out. If I get a call and can't excuse myself, I make it as quick as possible, or tell the other person I will call them back. If I have a call to make (and I don't have privacy, I find someplace else to go

MaryCS62 reacted to CruisingNewb in Snacks
These questions are always entertaining. The overall theme of the questions, except for when there are legitimate medical or dietary concerns, is that people want conforts of home on vacation. Of course, it is understandable.
We are Asian. My family craves passable Asian food every few days or so.
We used to pack Korean cup noodles on our cruises. Eventually, we realized that some of Royal's "asian" foods were passable and we didn't really need those cup noodles.
My point here is, again absent legitimate concern, does it make or break the vacation if you don't eat your favorite nuts during a week-long cruise? If so, get off on port days and buy some. I try...as much as possible...not to recreate anything from home or work during vacation. To me, a cruise is about NOT being at home.
Leave your favorite snacks, streaming devices, favorite blankets, etc at home and explore the ship, ship food, and ship ammenties. This may mean that some experiences are bad. Well, that is life and that is what it means to try new things. Otherwise, why not vacation at home?

MaryCS62 reacted to Eric Taggart in Why is UDP not available on 15+ night cruises - and any way to request?
Hi All - Great update - After my original post on April 18, I did email RCL Dining asking about UDP on longer 15+ night trips and the specific one we're booked on. Didn't get an email response, but on May 4, UDP went on sale for our 15 night long September 23 trip!!!!!! Started with a 50% discount flash sale that went to 45% after about 12 hours. Cancelled the 10-night we had reserved and rebooked the UDP. Also able to make all dining and lunch reservations in advance for ease of the first day (no more standing in line to make reservations). Super excited - Thanks RCL Dining if you had a hand in this!!!

depending on the amount of luggage you bring - is Uber or Lyft an option?

MaryCS62 got a reaction from foxrunner in Switching reservation back from TA to direct booking
we originally booked on our own, then several years back decided to use a TA from AAA - at first it was ok, but then COVID came, and with all the cancellations and rebookings and more cancellations - it got very complicated, then they transferred it to a different AAA TA, and she didn't know what to do. My DH kept a spreadsheet of all of our cruise credits, with the extra percentage they were giving us, and then we finally had a cruise scheduled for Jan 2022, which we had to cancel last minute - one of my DD'S had caught COVID just before Christmas, and so we couldn't go - more cruise credit nightmare. Then we had to cancel Aug 2022- a B2B on Oasis, because same DD was sick in the hospital, and eventually passed away. The problem w/ the cruise credits escalated - because she was the primary person in the room (we got a room for us, and a room for the girls), she had the bulk of the FCC. Luckily, they decided to allow us to use her FCC for ourselves and other DD. Somewhere in there, we switched to Jacki from MEI, and she's done a great job. We do research the ships and give her cabin numbers we like, and she offers us other options as well, which sometimes have better prices. Just the other day, I emailed her with a question about our upcoming Liberty cruise, and she replied with a BTW, the price went down, so she saved us several hundred dollars.

yup, same - although we got in every night except night one - the greeter actually allowed us to book 2 days in advance, but we usually got a later time than we wanted, but it was always an enjoyable evening and excellent food and service

There are a set of stairs into the pool with a railing.
This article catches them in one of the pool photos so you can see if it will work for you.

MaryCS62 got a reaction from CruiseRoyalDad in Baltimore cruise Port
I get it - that's why we cruise out of Bayonne - close to home. Did one sailing out of Baltimore last year, and while we enjoyed ourself on Vision, I think I like a little bigger ship. Have done Oasis Class, Voyager Class, Vision class, and Quantum Class - doing Freedom Class this summer (Liberty). so will see what I feel about that. I am NOT interested in Icon class - not unless they can sail out of Bayonne (don't want to fly) AND are at least 7 days - that's my minimum, and I really prefer longer than that
