Yeah I think i may have created a suite snob too.  Just came back from the Adventure of the Seas in a JS for the first time, DW loved the tub and extra room.  I have to admit I did enjoy the larger room, now she keeps asking me about a JS for our cruise next September.

The few times i purchased the 3 night dining package you are asked to choose either the first or second night and your time and they always assigned me to Chops.  Best thing to do is go to one of the specialty restaurants or one of the crew selling dining packages when you get on board and make your reservations for all 3 nights.

I agree with doing the ruins in Costa Maya, the trip to Tulum from Cozumel is a lot of traveling by ferry and bus for a short time at the ruins.

@Snotarni and @joshgates  thanks for the input, we went ahead and booked it for our upcoming Adventure sailing as we both like sushi. I saw a Youtube video of the experience and it looked like a great meal.

Think the only policy is the first reservation has to be made for night 1 or 2. Once onboard you can make changes to the initial reservation and make additional reservations for the rest of the sailing.

I am curious for those that are vaccinated that tested positive; what vaccination did they have?

So you know your wife likes to see you in a suit, absolutely you should wear one. Get a rolling garment bag, get a bigger suitcase, pay the fee and take an extra bag, ask for an iron or use the pressing or dry cleaning service on board. Having your wife think you are handsome is priceless, having her attracted to someone else may cost you a fortune. If I'm traveling with other couples I'll coordinate with the men to see of they are going with tuxes or suits. I let my wife pick out which suits ( I only only own one tux so that one is easy). There is no reason to not look your absolute best for her, if she hates suits then you don't need to worry. Personally my wife, who is in her fifties, looks great in dresses and heels and can still tun heads so I'm all about letting her be happy with herself and with me. I've got a large suitcase with a removable hanging garment bag that upon arrival quickly hangs up and stays wrinkle free or has minimal wrinkles. I dry clean everything anyways so I keep it in the bags and it folds just the once. That bag holds enough for the formal nights and dinners so I can wear slacks and a dress shirt to every dinner and it holds all her dresses. I economize by only going with one pair of black dress shoes and one black belt, so I keep to dark colored slacks. Once you add brown tones you double your accessories and shoes, grey still works with with black shoes and belt. . When going with a tux I wear the same black dress shoes not high gloss tux shoes and no tux shirt, a white dress shirt with a bow tie still gives you that 007 look, just avoid the buttoned down collar. We have luggage where the carry on has a sideways strap so it slides onto the checked larger bag so you push a single unit and I drag the garment included bag so for 5 pieces of luggage its three things, two for me, one for her.
Maybe your experience is different but many women, my wife included, spend lots of time and energy on hair, make-up, accessories, shoes, etc., you can dress up as a sign of appreciation. But then again my grandsons age 6 to 15 all wore a bow ties to formal night when we took them on a cruise, so I realize were outliers to some.

Hi sorry that this happened and hopefully Royal will do something for you.  Two questions:  Did your hubby ever test positive and which vaccine did he receive?  And was the other person vaccinated and if so what vaccine?
I wish the CDC would provide us with honest numbers of those who tested positive after being vaccinated and how many vaccinated were capable of transmitting the virus.  I doubt we'll ever see that kind of honesty from them.

I do check a bag for a suit, couple pair dress slacks, 3-4 shirts plus the wife's dresses make up/creams/women stuff (stuff that don't pass muster with TSA liquid regs).  I use dry cleaner bags to seperate items.  This is similar to the case I use

The main dining room is not open for lunch on port days; however it is open for breakfast.  If you need lunch on port days, your choices are Windjammer, Cafe Promenade and other small shops that vary per ship.

I'm hoping that by the time I cruise in August, masks are but a distant memory or at least masks won't be required outside.  I'm fully vaccinated and according to the vaccine mfgs, i only have a 5% chance of catching Covid and a 0% chance of being hospitalized from it so I don't see the need for a mask unless I'm in close quarters with unvaccinated people.
Here in WV the governor is lifting the mask mandate effective Jun 20th.  In the stores I'm seeing an increasing number of unmasked shoppers; I say that it's risen to a 2-1 ratio.  The people are tiring from the mask requirement and starting to revolt, in our area there is no shortage of vaccines and they have become available at local pharmacy's or at a twice weekly mass vaccination clinic.

I understand the governors objection to a gov't creating vaccination passport, but is he considering the vaccine cards a travel passport?   They're just a shot record like those of the past.  Not seeing why  showing proof of vaccination that big a deal?  Don't schools require shot records for student enrollment?  Seems like the mandatory PCR testing for travel is just as intrusive from the health privacy issue.
