I'm not sure which sailing you are doing.  But I'm going on Quantum for the 7 night VAN-SEA cruise and you can only get speciality lunch on Days 1, 2, and 6.

I know you changed your mind, but most specialty restaurants are not open for lunch on port days, only sea days. I am sailing Quantum Alaska Sept 2024 and decided against the UDP because the restaurants are limited and there are 4 port days. In BC, we are in port from 3-10pm.

Never mind, we decided to not get the ultimate dining package because we will be eating local foods at the port more than cruise food.
This will be my first time in Alaska so excited. I am thinking of getting an Unlimited dining package but still not sure. We will be late into Juneau and Victoria at 1 pm. Do the days at Juneau and Victoria specialty restaurants open for lunch for people who buy unlimited dining packages? Anyone get experience about it.

Terminal A is a first come first serve service. Plans to park before noon. It filled up quickly for terminal A. I cannot answer about Terminal G.

I have to agree with you. I like CocoCay but definitely not at the South beach. The sand on that area was feel like mud when you step on, water was cloudy all the time and has some weird smell in that area. Only 2 nice things there are "Snack Shack" close by and "Swim up Bar". We left after spent an hour there and came back to Chill Island where we belong. We did snorkeling there saw plenty of stingrays and fish.

I don't know what I was thinking...We had a 1 p.m. check-in time and left my house in Saint Cloud at 9:45. Google said it was a 3 hour drive. We pulled into the parking garage at 2:15 and found the not-really-legit parking space at 2:30.
Give yourself plenty of extra time, and have so much fun on the cruise!! I miss the Oasis already!

Can confirm that it absolutely does. We arrived later than planned due to traffic/weather/general insanity last Sunday (apparently there was flash flooding that caused multiple lanes in the port to be closed last minute, causing utter chaos). There was a sign that said the garage was full, but the attendant told us there were 12 spaces left. When we drove up, the car in front of us took the last legitimate space. Two other cars parallel parked against a random wall. I was too nervous to do that and was anxious that we'd miss the boat if we moved garages, so I asked the attendant where to go and he directed me to squeeze into a little yellow marked-off non-space between two cars. It was a source of semi-anxiety all week as I wasn't 100% sure my car was fine where it was.

Susie reacted to Pattycruise in Voom and Surf and Stream
My experience, Voom only can be upgraded onboard to surf and stream at the cost of $5 per day.  I have purhcased Voom for cheaper than online and have been able to use my existing free D+ day value (approx $59) to cover the cost of the upgrade from Voom to Surf and Stream-this was done onboard with the Voomdesk.
Lately I have noticed during this sale that most of my purhcases of Voom only are no longer available and the ships are offering surf/stream-at $13.99 for the first device.  This is cheaper than the Voom only that was being offered recently (it was typically $14.99 and up on the sailings I have booked).

There is a floating theory that Surf is being discontinued due to the shift to Starlink.

I have never personally experienced it, but yes it does. They will direct you to another terminal for parking and provide a shuttle to Terminal A if it happens.

Thank you for the reply. I feel a little better now. It happened to us last month in New Jersey, the garage was full by noon.

The shows should be up and running fully now. They were missing props and such for the ice show and were working on getting the full aqua show ready way back in March.

I'm going to disagree. You can't compare the two. At a Disney resort if a pool will be closed for maintenance, you will be notified at time of booking. Also the maintenance schedule for major attractions like splash mountain etc is published months in advance along with hotel pool maintenance so guests can plan accordingly to there own specific needs and wants. There is a difference.

It was not about go through immigration. It was about have to wait for 5 hours to get back on the ship for some people. My MIL had to wait 3+ hours to get back on the ship and she is 73.

Ok!!! I am on the same cruise with you. My plan was to take the air boat but I had to cancel it because I don't know when the immigration check in will be completed. We ended up finished everything at 10:30 am which was really late. My mother inlaw was not want to get off the ship for Miami. So she had to wait for all this crazy situation. She ended up waiting for 3+ hours. By the way she is 73 years old. She also had to stand on her feet for a long while before Royal decided to get the chairs for everyone. We came back to the ship about 2:30 or 3 not remembering exactly and my MIL said she just got done with immigration not that long ago. That's not a great experience.
