  1. @DocLC Can you speak more to the experience at Playa Mia? I considered going there, but my concern is it is advertised everywhere in the port area and around town. It gave me concern that it is super-crowded, and/or a bit of a tourist trap. Would love to hear your thoughts.
  2. Glad you found the live blog. Yes, it was great despite the seaweed. I'll write a more formal review, but definitely book it. Going back in November!
  3. I agree. The service at Maya Chan is unrivaled at any all inclusive day pass I've been to.
  4. I agree with @WAAAYTOOO... call and ask for a specific dining option you prefer.
  5. To that point, regardless of what they assign you, you can go to MDR on embarkation day and have your assignment changed after speaking to head waiter on duty. Always a good idea to scope out your table assignment, if for no other reason than to check out the MDR!
  6. My advice is book a refundable deposit. I still have yet to book a non-refundable deposit ever. That covers your cancellation problem (unless you're booking a non-refundable only room like a suite). If you are in a category that has non-refundable only, then your best bet is to wait. Better to pay a bit more than incur a cancellation fee, right?
  7. I hope so. It pains me when new cruisers and/or those new to RC want to go on Enchantment or Majesty first. There's nothing wrong with them, per se, but they aren't glowing examples of the best RC offers.
  8. I think in general RC found it cost prohibitive to continue stretching.
  9. For that one hour, select games are put into free mode. These games are limited to games that do not offer prizes or tickets. My kids like it, but I find it limiting since half the games in the arcade give out tickets or prizes. Still, it's a fun and free activity.
  10. One time I got the notification my excursion was cancelled, but not the fact my entire reservation was also cancelled
  11. Not sure about that. These days, you cannot pre-purchase the Voyage option, but it is available onboard. Perhaps that's what they are referring to? I generally recommend the Voom Surf & Stream for everyone, just because it offers a better overall experience. To make Voyage work, RC throttles the bandwidth considerably, so even basic surfing of the internet seems slower.
  12. It saves our family time. We are a family of 4, and the kids are too short so I have to lift them up for their photos in the port.
  13. At the media event in NYC, they mentioned this program was limited to Voyager class and larger.
  14. Along those lines, I'd be concerned about it falling into the ocean and/or otherwise breaking. But then again, I'd assume a drone owner would practice before attempting this. Also, the DJI drones have a "fly home" feature, if I'm not mistaken.
  15. The exact Christmas events will depend on ship and sailing, but decorations are a minimum.
  16. Calling in may be a simpler approach, even if it does involve more work. For months I had an issue where I couldn't make purchases on the Cruise Planner until I realized one of my browser extensions was causing the issue (it worked after I uninstalled the extension).
  17. Yup, I've done it before and it's not a big deal. They see it all the time.
  18. Upon booking they should have emailed you a copy of the invoice for the sailing.
  19. Thank you for sharing these photos!
  20. There are so many interesting sailings available. Is there a particular region you are interested in?
  21. Voom Surf & Stream is the fastest internet and supports video streaming. Voom Voyage is the slower option that cannot support video.
