  1. Past hour
  2. Alright, I am convinced regarding printing things - I'll do that tomorrow. Packing is 90% done, thank goodness. Although looking around my room I've seen a couple of things that will need adding. But so far, one large suitcase and a carry on. For 9 nights. I feel I may have overpacked... We have secured a new tour - Pompeii, an Italian lunch and wine tasting, and a hike to the crater of Vesuvius. I'm very excited - I did a similar Pompeii and wine tasting tour last time I was in Naples, but never got to get up close to Vesuvius. A little nervous about the hike, just because I can struggle on uneven ground due to questionable depth perception, but Jamie is a good guy and will make sure I'm OK. I'm determined to make it to the top. Still feeling overwhelmed - I feel like a first time cruiser again!! But this time next week, we'll be on board! Also, if anyone can explain how to insert pictures within text, that'd be awesome, ready for the photo spam that will be happening! I not only ramble in writing, I take a lot of pictures!
  3. MJ lunch was great. I had the chicken sandwich; Dan had the shrimp po-boy. We shared a cinnamon roll. OMG, so delicious ! I had the tater tots which were kinda bland but not terrible. Dan had the Cajun fries. They had cut my chicken breast in half ( thank goodness) b/c it was such a fatty but it made the sandwich so much easier to eat as I removed half of it. Dinner tonite is in the CK (filet night). The only dinner we have scheduled in the CK. We may pop in for lunch randomly and I assume we have breakfast there (I forgot to ask an about breakfast). I guess I need to confirm that… Tonite we have inTENse at 10:45. Hopefully I’ll still be awake for that !
  4. Usually until 9pm in the Caribbean but sailing out of San Juan may be different.
  5. Thanks Dougalsgirl! I was able to click on the link for the activities page & translate it into English. Given our 6-hr. window in Haugesund, we could catch the People's Parade starting @ 1. Perhaps a little lunch before & some light sightseeing around the town.
  6. Also when you think about what you are insuring with paying for refundable that in reality if you have a non-refundable and you can change your sailing (different date, different ship, different itinerary is okay) before the full payment date instead of a full cancel your penalty is actually $100 pp, not $500.
  7. Never mind, got the answer from my TA and its definite no to public works employees. Oh well what are you gonna do.
  8. Today
  9. Perhaps you may already know, if you purchased the Refreshment package the shakes are included
  10. Does anyone know if this is extended to DPW public works employees? I am a DPW employee in NJ. I know we are in the eyes of NJ government and homeland security but not sure if Royal recognizes the same.
  11. This will be our 1st time to use our Diamond status. It sound like they have really improved that over the years. One of those coupons will go for a Johnny Rockets shake.
  12. I get that. Just hoping for a little insider tip. It's only 4 days and has hibachi so we're good to go along with Chops and Jaime's. Thanks for the BF advice. That's what I need.
  13. If not, you can get it at Target https://www.target.com/p/elemis-frangipani-monoi-body-oil-3-3-oz/-/A-87169432
  14. That's awful:(. I figure we will know pretty quick if sailaway is delayed. I just need to check how late windjammer is open. And normally I wouldn't mind missing the sailaway but San Juan is just so cool at night! Jane
  15. There will be certain days and times when Key purchasers will have exclusive use of flow rider, climbing wall, etc. Don’t get too excited because most of those times where be when the ship is docked
  16. I am booked until March 2026.
  17. I am going to Mason Jar on Utopia. Can't wait for your review. Have a relaxing cruise.
  18. I hope you enjoy Mason Jar. The best thing, well the only good thing, about port Canaveral is they have embarkation day down to a science. We were onboard by 10:15 each time, easily.
  19. We were on 2 weeks ago and every single day at least one pool was closed due to vomit or poop
  20. So jealous! I can't believe they did not put a Mason Jar on Icon. Enjoy lunch!
  21. I'd suspect so. With that said, there's a range of tails from the MDR. I was dining at Chef's Table on Oasis during the second formal night in 2021 (lobster night) and our chef plated MDR lobster tails he had personally selected with our filet mignon course. It was a noticeable step up from what I've seen on my MDR plate before and since then. My gut feeling is this move is less about the cost between whole live lobster and lobster tails, as it is about Royal reducing the inventory they're purchasing and managing across the fleet. Doesn't make it any less disappointing though.
  22. As long as you are in the car by 8am you should be fine. Lyft and Uber work, you can pre-book either for an assurance.
  23. I have an upcoming sailing on the Icon and reserved The Key. I noticed in the description it says I have fast lane access for select onboard activities. I am wondering what activities that this includes and how it works? Does anyone know? Thank you!!!
  24. So, I will continue with this thread for the fifth and final leg of this saga. We boarded Wonder today (5-5). This is our Pinnacle cruise. Drove up from Port St Lucie. It’s about an hour and fifteen minutes’ drive. Got to the terminal right at 9:00, which is precisely our target for terminal arrival. Getting into the parking garage was the same madhouse that it always is. After about 10 minutes of inching along we finally got to the luggage drop area and then circled around to the parking lane. There, our luck got better as we immediately found a handicapped parking space right by the elevators on level 2. We were the first in line for the Suites/Pinn line and entrance into the terminal area began at 9:45 sharp. We waited a bit in the Suites/Pinnacle lounge area and boarding began at 10:15. We did our muster drill as soon as we boarded and then went straight to deck 8 to retrieve our Seapass cards from the door. They were there ! We had a heck of a time getting to deck 17 ! The elevators wouldn’t go up to 17. There must be a secret of which I am not yet aware. We finally went to 16 and switched elevators which finally took us to 17. Then we had to trek around to find the entrance to the SL/CK. It’s 180 degrees backwards from the design of the other SL/CK ! Finally….seated in the SL, we waited for the CK maitre’d to show up so we could make dining rezzies. SO glad we did that first thing b/c by 11:00 the maitre’d kiosk at the SL was a madhouse ! We got all of our rezzies the way we wanted them so all is well. We are going to Mason Jar for lunch in 5 minutes ! Woohoo !
  25. Ok now the big bad airline as changed our flight to a 11:49 AM departure out of Fort Lauderdale! Can we make it coming from the port of Miami? If so suggested or recommended transportation??? taxi/Lyft/Uber or is there a pre-booked car service?
