LandstromCruise
Are the craps tables 3x-4x-5x odds? That’s usually what I play and find out in Vegas but haven’t played on the cruise ships before.
Peter D
The craps table on ships are $10 minimum and 1x odds, though they will usually allow $25 (6/8) and $20 (5/9) odds on a $15 pass line. There are probably other similar exceptions, but in general, single odds only. LandstromCruise
LandstromCruise
1x odds, that sucks.
baltodave
I remember "back in the day" when there were $5 craps, they'd allow $6 for 5/9. BFD
bobroo
Royal has an unusual tiered odds policy on their craps tables. Like all things craps, it's a confusing mess. Here is the typical craps situation on Royal Caribbean: $10 minimum. $500 Max bet. Bets over $50 are allowed 3/4/5 odds, Pass line and Come bets under $50? Single odds. Don't Pass and Don't Come max odds are capped at $300 (for the obvious reason). If a ship has two craps tables, the rules will be the same at both. The craps table rules are constant, Royal won't have a lower table minimum on an afternoon sea day for example. More often then not these are going to be the rules/policies so this should be your expectation. Are there exceptions? Yes there are. I've seen $15 tables (but not in 10 years). Never have I seen a $5 table. I've seen $1,000 max bets on Quantum class boats. Most notable: often you will be allowed the odds @Peter D described for bets more than $15. So...Expect the above but you gotta ask when you step up to the table. Different ships can have different rules. Sidenote: I am not aware of anywhere online that keeps an up to date database of ship to ship craps rules/policies, but it sure would be nice. Calling Casino Royale ahead of time will not get you the answers you are looking for. And as always....Radiance does not have craps tables. While this is utterly confusing(I know, shocking with Royal), this was extremely helpful. Thank you very much. Maybe I can get hot at the blackjack table to help give me a good starting bankroll for the craps table to be at the $50 minimum. Otherwise, might just need to save my craps playing until Vegas this summer

Information I wish there was an online resource that, even if it were self reported by frequent users, I could find out about and make a casino plan. Or... get this....plan my casino bankroll before I get on the boat. Slotplayers: imagine an online resource that told you what slots to expect to see when onboard. You'd never be surprised to not see a particular machine again.

This. Also something different is both dice have to hit the back wall or it's a no roll. *Watch the dice carefully because they will definitely call a 7 out when 1 doesn't hit but is close to the wall and call no roll if both hit just barely or in the corner but isn't a 7 out. Always argue in your favor if it's close because the house definitely takes advantage... I've had them stop the game and go to the eye in the sky to verify it did or didn't hit when I know I was in the right a few times and the pit boss wouldn't change the call. I've had about a 50/50 success rate but it does take about 30 mins to verify so make certain you're correct and the money on the table is worth the lost rolling time if you do that. Field bet can be as low as $1 (assuming at least $10 else where on the table). No ATS or World bets. LandstromCruise

Had tables go cold on Odyssey last year multiple nights due to questionable calls from the dealers. They didn't appreciate any time a table got on a roll. Could just be coincidence, but someone wise once said, "fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." Last cruise someone just pulled up a chair from the neighboring table but the pit boss later told him he couldn't sit. When he really pressed that he had a bad back they let him sit, but they made him move to the stick man side for some reason. So I've actually seen it done but only very reluctantly from the pit boss. WAAAYTOOO
