wannabecruiseexpert Posted January 28, 2022 Report Posted January 28, 2022 Now granted I don't know much about how travel agents get paid - I assume they get a percentage of what your cruise fare is. If that is the case, if you win a Royal Up bid, does your agent get paid based on the new total (including your bid) or on the original fare price? Quote

smokeybandit Posted January 28, 2022 Report Posted January 28, 2022 Q Are the RoyalUp℠ upcharges commissionable? A Yes, based on the commission percent on the booking. At this time, the only exception is for bookings that reserve under a net price code which will not earn commission on the upcharge. Sharla, wannabecruiseexpert and Matt 3 Quote

Sharla Posted January 28, 2022 Report Posted January 28, 2022 Yes, we do get paid the extra if you Royal Up. We do NOT get paid if you just upgrade at the port or get a complimentary upgrade. teddy 1 Quote

It's obviously more complicated than this but if the total (without tax/gratuities whatever) is $3000 and commission is $500 then the net pricing is $3000-500 so $2500. In most cases that doesn't happen, it's very rare that there is net pricing on there. ChrisK2793 1 Quote
