RCARD
NCL has postponed relaunch of 6 ships, cancelled one sailing and suspended another due to Omicron. Has anyone seen an official word or two from Royal Caribbean? Also. we're planning on continuing with our Feb 6 Odyssey cruise. A few questions .... Any anticipated reduction of services onboard? Any change to pre-cruise testing requirements? I’m told it’s getting more & more difficult to get PCR test results within48 hour window. Will RCL be limiting percentage of total rooms booked? If so, anywhere to find specific info for each cruise? On the plus side (I hope) any thoughts on impact to Royal Up? From past experience, what impact did load limits have on Royal Up? Better chances at lower bids?

But I would, lol) I personally feel odds are better now for Royal Up than pre-covid. WAYNO
Swar
I have gotten 3 RoyalUps over the last month - all that I applied for with $5 over minimum bid. Some people were upgraded free just for showing up to cruise (D+ type of peeps). Service is ok. However, there are not many extra people running around Windjammer or the Casino bringing us drinks. Several bars have been closed down, but I think that is due to the low number of people on this cruise. BOTS 3 Jan cruise. Fox Forlenza
I know the PCR tests for unvaccinated will be harder. Even looking for the rapid tests around these parts is dang near impossible right now as well. It's going to be interesting trying to find testing for the cruises in the short-term. Long term I don't see any issues as that number of people getting tested will eventually begin to fall. If necessary, I would book your testing with the their party testing agencies at the port EARLY as a back-up. RCARD

Pattycruise
1 hour ago, nmdaisy said: What is a Royal Up? It's the ability to bid to get an upgrade. The cost of the bid is multiplied by 2 and everyone in the cabin goes with you to the new cabin if you win. If you are a solo cruiser you still pay the bidx2. If there are 3 or 4 in the cabin you still pay the bid x 2. Some get the emails asking if they want to Royal up. I've gotten them and then I also have NOT gotten them for other sailings. You won'[t hear about your winning until the week of your cruise, sometimes until the day of embarkation! YOu can check your bids as it gets closer, if it says expired you did not get it, if it says pending you are in consideration-but no guarantee. You can try this link to see if you are able to do it for your cruise.https://www.royalcaribbean.com/booked/cruise-room-upgrade Neesa and Swar
