BEWARE (fine print)... A successful Move Up bid to a Retreat eligible suite does NOT include some perks of the suite class, such as free Wifi or unlimited drink package. It will include Luminae suite restaurant and suite concierge free drinks as well as access to Retreat areas. Not sure about moving up to concierge or aqua class

Just returned from 7 days on Equinox with Prime Access. One of the 'perks' is early departure and preferred terminal luggage pick up area. Unfortunately, onboard ship departure for Prime coincided with Walk Off/Self Assist passengers. All had to queue up in a line that snaked through the departure deck. Am I missing something?

We're interested in an Atlantic crossing -- either east or west - - and I'm wondering which ships are smoothest (RCL or Celebrity) and does it matter which direction is best. We're open to either direction or cruise line.

On Oasis+ class ships, UDP includes embarkation day lunch in a specialty dining restaurant. Does anyone know ... Is embarkation day lunch available via UDP on Jewel OTS?

Crown & Anchor/Captain's Club --- merger?
RCARD replied to RCARD's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
That makes sense -
An interesting observation ....... When checking 'past cruises' under my Celebrity Captain's Club account I noticed it included 2 Royal Caribbean cruises taken in 2024, in addition to the 2 Celebrity cruises. No Captains Club points were posted, but details of cruises were accurate. When I checked 'past cruises' in Royal Crown & Anchor account only RCL cruises were listed. Could this be the next step in consolidating accounts under the Corporate umbrella?

Celebrity Ascent - Best Place to play cards

Good question. I'm interested in recommendations -
It depends. If your coffee is morning coffee, included with continental breakfast, there isn't a service charge. Also can vary by type of room

Thank you

After cruising exclusively from North America, we took a 2 week Mediterranean cruise over 10 years ago. No lobster. We were told, when we inquired, that lobster wasn't a menu item outside of the US. Live & learn. Interesting to note that we once took a Florida originating cruise immediately following the ship's Atlantic crossing. No lobster on that cruise either.

Scheduled on 4 night Refection cruise and they currently offer an online Specialty Restaurant Trio - 2 dinner, 1 lunch. Any experience with this offer? Anyone know if 2-3 dinner (no lunch) packages are offered onboard?

New to Elite+ via Status Match. Any advice on internet pricing (with pre cruise discount) versus onboard 35% (240 free min.)? Which alternative is best value?

Thank you. I wasn't aware of this section

Is there a Celebrity specific blog like the RCblog? With the recent status match I find myself looking at AND booking more Celebrity cruises. This past May (before status match) we went on Celebrity Refection and enjoyed our cruise, however I must admit we felt like guppies. It's been 8-10 years and it's a learning process. Now we're booked on a 3 more Celebrity cruises and its been difficult trying to find guidance for Celebrity similar to the RCLblog. Leads me to 2 questions: First, can anyone point me to a Celebrity Blog? Second, should RCblog consider a 'status match' and offer a category for Celebrity and make it an RCL Group blog? Sure would keep it in the family!

I agree, seems like D+ are getting much. I'm D+ ob RCL and also Celebrity Elite based on Celebrity activity. This match will move me up to E+. Hope your research uncovers more of a benefit

Onboard status match benefits begin June 5, 2024.

We let each venue (Chops, Giovanni, Playmakers & Casino) know that dispenser was empty. We didn't follow up immediately, however, on subsequent visits to each the the dispensers were functioning properly.

Currently cruising on Odyssey and have found numerous Purell hand sanitizer stand dispensers empty outside specialty restaurants and casino. Just curious if this is ship specific or have others found this to be the case elsewhere?

When cruising, we usually take the UDP for our the weekend provide a tip at each service. Recently, we went on a 4 night cruise and decided to take advantage of the Diamond BOGO first/second night offer where you only pay for one person. An 18% gratuity was added to the bill. At restaurants on land I'm accustomed to tipping on the 'entire' amount if any discount was applied. For example, on a BOGO meal I'd simply tip on the amount before discount (ie. double the tip). So on our cruise I used the same logic and added an additional 18%. Service and food were great and it was well worth it. Now we're heading out on another cruise and I realized that the UDP total charge includes an 18% gratuity (never really paid attention before). Does anyone know if that gratuity goes directly to the specialty dining staff? Since we also prepay gratuities for the cruise, do specialty dining staff get a piece of that or does it go to MDR which we aren't using? Just curious.
